Ultimately this "remaster" is a HD release of Oblivion, not Bethesda's original vision now made possible with modern hardware. This version notably adds HD textures for environments and clothing, redux of character faces, more voices for races, shaders, a fixed leveling system, sprinting and more combat animations. But for people who don't obsess about graphics and care more about game play lore and story, this version fails to deliver.

There are no new quests/factions/cities, the towns/cities haven't been expanded, there are no new npcs, the radiant AI hasn't been expanded, dungeons are the same, the lord of the rings inspiration remains, theres no new animations for our fun citizens of Cyrodil and dialogue with the exception of different voices actors remain the same. You are not buying a new but familiar experience if you buy this version, you are buying shaders and hitmarkers.

I love elder scrolls, its lore is awesome and crazy, when i first heard there was a remake i went nuts and was estatic but this game does that lore a injustice by failing to deliver it, there are no monkey men wandering around, there is no man-bull emperors, there is no dense jungles, or werewolves. there's just the same game Bethesda released 18 years ago with updated graphics.

You can save alot more money by buying the original oblivion and modding it, rather then then buying this.

A great game, the dlcs kinda stink though. i Recommend playing it.

Very fun story and good game. Lots of people refund or uninstall during the race mission, i recommend against it as the game gets way better after that. Look up a guide if you need to, but please keep playing. It's dope.
