It's a great skill based game that unfortunately has had a long-time cheating problem that valve refuses to be vocal about. I'm not a stranger to source games and the long history valve has with advancing VAC to catch cheaters in their games. Though, with the rise of AI assisted scripts it has gotten ridiculous with the amount of closeted walling and aim correction that at most a good 35-40% of players are using on casual alone and I'd hate to try and detect a lot more sneaky examples that occur in faceit servers or competitive.

Valve, please fix.

Skullgirls was always marvel vs Capcom but with wifus game, one of the two major selling points was the fan-service. Removing the fan-service every couple of years and changing the story retroactively with literal fan-fiction to suit the more ad-friendly mobile port is sure way to annoy an old fan of the series.

Game-play wise, it's still great and fun. The censorship however, Nah.

Instead of buying this game, I recommend supporting Alex ahad (the original art-director/creator/artist/director of SG) by buying his art to help fund his new future fighting game instead.

Though, as much as I appreciate atlus bringing over one of the more well known beloved entry level persona games, It has some issues that have been already fixed/modded by fans.

Examples being:
-The original PS2 cutscenes for male Mc
-a fully rendered 3D overworld
(currently in progress)
-higher quality audio
-higherpoly models
(Currently in the works)

The issues currently in the game are:
-Compressed audio.
(Ex. Mass destruction sounds like it has been out through five different old mp3 converters)
-everything has been wifu2Scaled, some look great and most of the overworld and screenshots taken from the PS2 cutscenes do not.
-None of the models have been updated to their higher poly PS2 counterparts.

A lot of the quality of life features like a higher frame rate and resolution have already existed with emulation but where credit is due the game play hasn't been meddled with and the game still functions like it should; I only purchased this to support a future release of P3FES which is a long shot, and because I have a case of Stockholm syndrome.

Feel free to purchase it to support the devs, franchise, and future re-releases.

Or just emulate and mod/download FES

Paying for free unlocks you can unlock by playing the game is a shady thing, I wish this didn't come with the VIP Edition.

5 different forms of Goku, please

This has potential to be a great online bomber man game.
However, the main issues that stand out the most are..

-loading times are abysmal.
-Having to pay for private online matches is baffling.
(Not to mention the host can't choose what items spawn)
-Wonky hitboxes
-Friends can't join with you on random matches
-The ability to re-queue in an already going match.

Why can't I ready up while I'm already out of a match?
At least let me spectate the current match instead of waiting at the main menu.

Needless to say, it's a rough launch.
Hopefully, coming updates fix the issues that are hindering the game's growth.

The clan creator bundle is just easy mode for people like me who suck at tower defense mode.

Though I must say, locking premium adventure content behind DLC that is free on consoles and hiding it behind the clan creator cards as a "bundle" is pretty scummy on sega's part.
