While the background plot of the game itself isn't the best, I greatly enjoy the character moments, the greater themes of the game, and the ending they gave to one of my favorite protagonist in all of media. It feels like they really learned from Yakuza 6 to give this character a proper send off, and I hope that when LaD9 comes out we get to see him w/ his family, and see Ichiban and Yagami be trusted to lead a new generation of games w/o the need to pull Kiryu back into the fold every single game.

Gaijin Entertainment hold the keys to a unique experience they refuse to properly cultivate, and they have grown complacent with where they sit within this niche market of games. This has led Gaijin to gaslight everyone into believing that making the game even more of a tedious grind is good for new/existing players by "Removing choice paralysis" It comes across very similarly to Blizzard's excuse for locking heros to a battlepass in Overwatch 2 for "Balance concerns."

The game is great, and well worth playing if your a fan of point and click adventure games.

Its alright.

The greatest moments of this game are the personalized stories you come back with after every mission. These stories are enhanced with how deep the customization is for all your soldiers from naming your troops to choosing what each of them wear out into the field. Its a game that is truely enhanced by the customization the game offers you as the Commander of a team fighting to take back Earth from the Elders. You can name your troops after people you know, after characters from other forms of media, or just leave them as random soldiers if you just want to enjoy an amazing turn based Strategy game that will be brutal even to vetern players of the series.

Well worth it for Shen's Last Gift, and the Alien Hunter's DLC. Looking forward to the expansion.

Very crappy Port to PC that was done by an External Studio.

Is it playable? Yes, but its not a great port to PC and it shouldn't be running the way that it is and I suspect lower end rigs will have huge issues running the game at all.

Game is locked to 30 FPS and requires editing the INI files to get to 60 which you might struggle to get.

Running this on a pretty good Rig aswell

Also note that I have just freshly installed Windows 7, and all the latest drivers I need from Geforce Experience, and MSI live update 6.

I will play this when the game gets patched in a few weeks, but waiting until then.
