Best game Relic ever made.

This game keeps me sane during long flights.

I am not a MilSim player. I don't have the time, patience (And intelligence) to learn these games. However, when it comes to Uboat, this is not an issue. Don't get me wrong, the game is not easy or shallow, on the contrary, it's intense and well-made. The beauty of it is in the difficulty settings.

The difficulty menu of the game gives you power over basically every aspect of the game. You can make the game as easy as you want (Basically a power fantasy in which you just click and your officers do most things), or make it as hard is real life (No help, everything is done manually in first person).

The game is also very, VERY atmospheric. Even on the easier difficulties go to the first-person view when you're being hunted and you will get goosebumps. Everyone standing in the command station, whispering with blue lights, hearing the sonar ping.

If you're interested in submarine warfare, check it out. There are a few bugs here and there but I did not encounter anything to hard or softlock me. The game is also very moddable and the modding community is active.

Get it on sale. Previous Dues Ex was way better.

Just learn a bit of Russian and you'll be fine.

Horrible, HORRIBLE story and writing for the villains... but the gameplay is phenomenal. The guns, fluidity of movement.
Also the best coop game (After Borderlands 2 of course). Play coop.

It's still kinda janky, there are many issues with ledge grabs. But still a great coop game. Get it during sale and play coop.

EDIT:

Absolutely not. With the new December update, they screwed the game even more. In a span of two hours, both me and my brother experienced constant crashes and bugs.

After years of a functional games, you just ruined it for a stupid Christmas update.
