its fun like watching children take their socks off

The most memorable game in my life and the game that introduced me to steam. I would 10/10 recommend, if it was like before. But It's not as it used to be, a lot of the community has changed and a lot of features have changed or have been too over-complicated that it is no longer the simple game it used to be. The beauty of Unturned was derived from how simple it was; spawn, loot, find friends, make a base, raid another base and try to become the strongest clan in the server.

Nowadays, a lot of that has been changed; looting is a lot easier thanks to plugins that make loot spawns significantly higher and less rare/scarce as it used to be and now you can get a full set of armor, weapons, food, ammo just by visiting a single military base once. This has made it so that it's no longer a scavenging survival game because you can get everything you need in just one run. The current state of Unturned is no longer fixated on survival and now it is very pvp-based and that can be good to some people, but to people like me that really liked the survival part of Unturned, it is quite devastating to the whole gameplay experience.

Making friends was a big and, in my opinion, the best part of Unturned. The community before was very friendly (ofc not too friendly because then why have pvp at all), non-toxic and were very open to meeting other players. Nowadays however, it is long from that. Everyone you meet either wants to kill you or run away from you. Of course this is not completely the developers fault, they can't control who is within the community, but it is however partially their fault. Due to making so many updates to pvp and focusing so much on creating new pvp features like: explosives, shooting underwater, new guns, more gun spawns, etc. it has driven off the players that were more on the survival side. And these players were often the ones that weren't toxic and didn't want to murder everyone just for fun.

There is more I want to say, but frankly while writing this I forgot. The reason I have recommended this game is because I hold very dear memories of it, but also there are still some positive sides and you can still have fun in this game. I have only been talking about the negative parts of the games, but if there are negatives then there is of course positives. I just am too tired to talk about them so goodbye
