An "escape from the building" scenario where you have to avoid a single enemy who is hunting you. You must collect items and solve puzzles to unlock other parts of the building and eventually escape. The game has two different endings and difficult achievements (e.g. finish the game without getting hit). If you don't have problems with the graphics and sound, you can have fun with it.

Pro:
You only get one chance, no saves. If you are looking for a challenge you found it here.

Contra:
The AI is partially superior because it can teleport through the building and appear anywhere around you at any time. To get all Achievements you need a lot of luck.

The game doesn't really have an atmosphere but you are still afraid to die (because you start all over again).

I played the non-VR version. The game contains a VR-Achievement and requires VR goggles or a program to simulate VR.

A first person horror walking simulator with jumpscares and chases.

Pro:
Graphics and sound are very good and turn the old hospital into a place where you better not walk around at night. You play alternately three different characters, which are equipped with a smartphone or a flashlight. Each of them has to face different dangers, which makes the game quite varied. Besides there is a lot to collect, but if you keep your eyes open you can already do everything in the first game run. The game has two different endings based on a choice during the game. For 100% you have to play the game twice.

Contra:
The voice acting isn't quite as good. ~4.5 hours for a run-through if you explore everything (too short, can also be seen as a pro)

On my score, the game gets a 6:

0 [] You won't even scare kids with that

2 [] i fear no ghosts
3 [] horror? realy?
4 [] you scare kids with that
5 [] what was that sound?

9 [] let me out of here!
10 [] i don't play this game!

This game is a story based walking simulator with some scary elements. There are a few secrets to discover as well as a dialogue selection, but it doesn't seem to have any influence on the story. Graphics and sound as well as the voice-over are very good. The game can entertain you for about four hours if you have a look at everything in detail.

The whole game takes place practically only in one smartphone and still manages to be both entertaining and dark. You have acquired a smartphone that doesn't belong to you... in the very first seconds of the game it becomes clear that something is not right at all. So you want to find out what happened to the previous owner.
Before the story reaches its peak, password cracking, identity theft, and blackmail are just a few of your crimes. Or not? Simulacra has multiple endings, but doesn't expect a super complex system even if it looks like it. Some parts of the main story are simply predetermined, but depending on the situation, you can have an influence on the plot. Do you pretend to be someone else or do you prefer to tell the truth? That's up to you.
You won't be guided through the game, some puzzles require you to pay attention and think carefully. Sympathetic game with many good ideas.

Stories Untold developer! In Observation you have control over the AI of a space station. Sounds boring? Not at all! You control the game via cameras and drones, which allows you to explore the station and interact with objects like notes or computer systems.
The game also throws you right into the middle of the story. After an unknown incident, you will meet Emma, who may (?) be the only survivor. The space station is heavily damaged, the status of the crew is unknown. Help her to repair systems, prevent catastrophes and find out what happened.
Graphics and sound are very good and harmonic, partly creepy. The puzzles range from easy to challenging and are very various.
The game does not take you by the hand, you must show initiative. There is a certain help but mostly you have to find out yourself how things works.

War, war never changes. But Fallout does!
In the case of Fallout 4 not always for the better. The game is big, very big. There's a lot to discover in the Boston area and you'll be rewarded for your explorations. The basic mechanics of the game are basically the same as in Fallout 3. There are different factions you can join and have their own story line as well as special tasks or side missions. These also affect the end of the game, which is why you will have to choose a faction at a certain point. There are also some NPCs you can take with you and they also have their own quests. The main story is interesting but has been neglected.

New in this part of the Fallout series is the construction system, settler management, and equipment customization. Not all new features are automatically bad, but some of them are just simple gimmicks and just seem out of place in a fallout.

The building system
is rightly controversial, either you love it or you hate it. You can build settlements on specified building sites. There are no limits to what you can build. Whether it is a house, a palace or something completely different. However, each building site has a different limit on the amount of objects you can place. From defenses and traps to power plants, cables and tons of decorative objects, everything is possible. But the handling is rather clumsy and imprecise. It is basically a worse version of the GECK construction set with which you can create your own mods. But if you get the hang of it and have fun with it, you can spend countless hours without really making any progress in the game.

The settlers
who live on your construction sites (and can defend them if you provide the equipment) have needs like electricity and food. So you can also get dissatisfied and leave. You can give them tasks or orders and even let them run various shops where you can buy almost everything.

Customizing equipment
with mods can change weapons and armor significantly. This also includes the well-known PowerArmor, which is now available in different versions and can also be found in the game world. Another new feature is that it now needs energy cells, so you'll need to consider when and where to use it.

There are perks that you can level, which will give you advantages in your settlement. But you can/have to collect and recycle almost every object in the game to get the necessary amount of material to build proper settlements and upgrade your equipment to high levels. Not all materials are plentiful.
Your settlements can be attacked, which can be extremely annoying. If the settlement has hardly any defense and you ignore the warning because you have something better to do or just can't do, you will suffer losses... NPCs can die and infrastructure such as power plants can be damaged.

Graphics, sound and also the editor you use to design your face are excellent. You can have a lot of fun with this game, with building system and settlers as well as without.

This game is basically a mix of different game mechanics. Hide from enemies, run away and avoid them. Solve puzzles and mini-games, quick time events, explore and there is even an FPS sequence. However, for some reason there is no chapter selection. If you are going to play 100%, this becomes a problem. But there is a workaround with the saved data.

You take control of two characters in two different time periods. The game changes the characters from chapter to chapter, putting the story together. Cut scenes provide smooth transitions or atmosphere during the game. The atmosphere is good, but mostly it's jumpscares that will scare you. With mouse/controller you can e.g. open almost every drawer or door. You can also pick up, examine and throw almost any item in the game. The mechanics are very similar to Amnesia.
There are no marked hiding places in this game. So sometimes you'll wonder why you were actually seen, even though you're standing behind an object and the line of sight is broken. The graphics are very nice, solid atmosphere, the story is well told but its content is not outstanding.

A walking simulator with some extremely difficult puzzles. The game requires a lot of attention from you, because objects are sometimes easy to miss. As a journalist you will be sent to the ghost town painscreek to investigate the incidents there. With a camera you can take pictures so that you don't have to remember or write everything down. There are different endings, depending on how much you found out. Solid detective game with good graphics and scary moments.

This is a 50% yes with a 50% no.
(the coin decided for a thumb down.)
The game has many good ideas. Can be frustrating.

Yes because of the courage of this unique setting, great art design and frighteningly disturbing gaming experience.
A survival horror game which reminds of Amnesia or The beast inside, but without memorable moments. The game has 3 game modes:

Story mode:
Experience the main story of the game and make your way through hell. In hidden areas, you can find rare items to improve your skills and increase your chances of survival. For example, you can hold your breath longer to dive longer. Or more stamina to sprint longer. Your only weapon in this game is the torch. You can also upgrade it to increase your chance to kill certain enemies.

The game has a whole gallery which you can unlock, including artwork, 3D models, letters, etc. You can find them in the game or unlock them by collecting golden statues and earning points. The game uses save points and there are two different types of death: if you die you will have some time to find a new body. Whether it's a human or a demon is up to you. But you can't control demons forever, once the time is up you'll just be thrown out of the body and have to find another one. The game has many good ideas, but unfortunately not all of them are well implemented.

Agony mode:
A "get out of the level" game and avoid the opponents.

Succubus mode:
Play the main game with this huntress again. The Succubus, however, has other ways and methods and offers a good alternative to the story mode. She can climb in certain places, is much faster and can kill pretty much any opponent in the game.

No because of the implementation, the gameplay and some game mechanics

Save points? 10 minutes of exploring, hiding and searching will be wiped out within a moment - and all from the beginning. You can occupy other bodies, but there's not always one within reach, the controls make navigation difficult, or you'll be eaten by enemies (which are only visible in ghost form). On the other hand, a fall out of the level always ends with a game over.
The level design is sometimes so chaotic that you fall to your death due to obstacles or imprecise collision boxes or get stuck on obstacles while jumping. If you're unlucky, you might get completely stuck in some places.

The biggest difference to Agony is that Agony Unrated contains massive graphic violence, in every form...
The number of collectibles and hidden places is frighteningly high. Especially since there are different areas in the game that only open after you've played through the game. In addition you can enter some areas only with the Succubus. The game also has 8 endings that build on each other. So if you want to finish this game 100% you have to play it very often and that's the problem. The game doesn't give you enough in content and scale to justify some achievements or the achieveable content.
