Great trip down memory lane. Been having plenty fun playing the games that got me into PC gaming all those years ago. Graphic uptick is amazing. Nostalgia really made me forget what it used to look like. Only negative is the AI and pathfinding is pretty bad but it was always like that. It's part of the 25 year old charm. Great package if you want to see if you're better than yourself as a kid!

Cannot wait to see a Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge remaster as well.

At first I wasn't sure of this game but my friend got it for me so we could play it together. I have to say it ended up being much more fun than I thought at first. Building your own weapons is pretty fun. Mixing at matching different types of guns and modifiers to see what kind of wacky guns you can create. Now, you do have a stash but you can barely bring anything with you on missions so you'll be crafting on the fly from whatever the shops have to offer so gotta think crafty sometimes. The levels are randomly generated with different enemy types but when you have as many hours as I do, you can predict what you're gonna get just by looking at the room. The only big issue I've had with the game is coop can be stutter filled if using the energy stream weapon and I've been instant killed by an enemy that wasn't there twice. Other than that, if you enjoy fast paced shoot 'em up games with old school difficulty and crafting your own guns, this game may be for you!

Well I've played both the single player and the online component of this game since the xbox 360 days. I have about 2600 hours in the online mode in total and this review mostly encompasses that. I have to say that in the beginning the game was really fun online and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Playing mostly PvE content with strangers that ended up being friends was a blast. Then buying cars, weapons, and properties that appealed to me from my criminal earnings was a pretty nice touch. Outside of missions and game modes, free roam wasn't too bad. The worst you had to worry about was a dot being a tank on a rampage, back when tanks had armor.

However, fast forward to now, the game has evolved into a track that seems to derail from what made GTA the game it is. R* has sold out to microtransactions and anyone who says the price inflations and shallow shiny new toys don't show that are just turning a blind eye. The last few updates have been the same rehashed missions since crates way back when. Buy a building, collect some items, return the items, and then sell a bunch of items in a now unbalanced freeroam world where military vehicles run rampant. Plus you have to pay insurance claims to blow them up to save yourself! It's just too much now. I won't even delve into the disaster that was the gunrunning research paywall.

Then of course, the cheaters. My good god, why does everyone have to do this? I'm so tired of my game being force crashed when I'm minding my own business. Then when the automated anti-cheat system removed money that wasn't even cheated it only added more frustration. Grinded that entire 2x$ I&E week to only have it removed. Sure they removed all the hacked money I received prior to gunrunning but that cash was legitimately earned. Customer support? Hah, does not exist. Sad too because there really aren't any other games like this.

TL:DR - If you want to play online you better have some really cool friends that don't mind doing the same repetitive styled missions over and over to get the coolest new million plus dollar toys to grief lobbies with.

Guns, loot, and EXPLOSIONS! What else needs to be said? Torgue approves

Still fun as ever after 1000 hours! Gonna keep going.

This game is what a video game should be, fun and insane. Great break from the serious stuff.
