This was a great game!

If you are a FAN of resident evil I would really pick up this game. And if you see this review while the game is on sale what the ♥♥♥♥ are you waiting for CLICK BUY RIGHT NOW, START THE DOWNLOAD, AND WHILE IT DOWNLOADS GO TO THE STORE AND BUY SOME DIAPERS, RUN HOME AND PRESS THAT PLAY BUTTON.

Capcom took Resident Evil back to the feeling of RE4, with traveling merchant, weapon upgrades, and valuables you can sell.

I was hesitant to buy it because it has a rather steep pricetag, but after having played through it now I am really happy I picked it up. I recommend playing/watching a playthrough of RE7 before playing this one, simply because this game takes place 3 years after RE7 story wise.

This game has made me feel kinda tense/anxious all the way through, partly because of how every surrounding was looking so realistic and creepy, but also because you never knew when you were gonna be ambushed.

Standard difficulty might be a little hard for someone who doesn't have decent aim, as I felt I was carried by the fact that I have played FPS alot. if you whiff alot of shots you will run into ammo problems pretty quickly.

Also:
80 FOV didn't ♥♥♥♥ me up, vignette wasn't a problem FOR ME. Calm down people..

I just finished it on hard mode and I just had to write a review giving and give this game good feedback. I loved it from start to finish.

The game easily explained:
the world is overrun by monsters and humanity is starving, almost all food is gone. "battle-chefs" emerge, they hunt monsters and cook food of them. You play as Mina, a girl wanting to become a battle chef. You head into a tournament to prove yourself and the story just takes some interesting turns here and there and stays interesting throughout the game.

1. You play in 2D fighter mode where you can combo melee attacks with spells, kill monsters and use their parts as ingredients for you cooking.
2. ingredients have different elements, hunting the right monsters is key.
3. cooking is a mini puzzle game where you have to match 3 of the same elements in order to evolve them and enhance the flavour.

there are puzzles, hunts and rush-modes to do in order to earn money and buy cooking equipment, hunting equipment and ingreedients/speciality books. this way you can cook and fight in your own style. mine was combo-pan, enhance oven and cutting board.

- The art is nice.
- Good story.
- Great character design, both appearance and personality-wise.
- Almost all of it is voiced.
- The gameplay feels very nice, though the PC keybinds were wonky, I suggest rebinding or playing with a controller.
- Nice music.
- The game was challenging on hard, needed to retry some segments 2-3 times in order to find an optimal strategy of what to gather and cook in order to win a battle.

feels slow until level 60. ok after.

This game is a massive penis coming from above to rape any GPU below 30 series.
