My favourite RPG since Dragon Age: Origins. The companion storylines are the best I've ever seen in a game, and the writing and main storyline are great. Combat is the weakest part of the game for me (as it often is in CRPGs), which leads to occasional annoyance, but the rest of the game more than makes up for it. Very strongly recommend!

This game is amazing. It's the most fun I've ever had exploring an open world game. The world is just so good: it's huge, but incredibly dense. Run for half a minute (at most), and you'll find something fun to do. Not in the 'clear all 50 enemy camp markers' Ubisoft way, but in a much more organic 'whoa I see a tower in the distance, what's over there?' way. Explore, and you're bound to be rewarded with new NPCs, new weapons, new spells, upgrades for your healing flask, or just an entire dungeon with boss battle and good loot. The world is also just stunning. I've had multiple moments where I'm running around, when I see a cliff edge and just stand on the edge and appreciate the view. Gameplay is as expected from FromSoft: just great. Difficult but fair boss fights.
The game isn't without its flaws: I've heard of people having significant performance issues, but I only get minor issues. Like a couple hundred ms stutter every few minutes. I should add that I followed this guide (https://www.reddit.com/r/Eldenring/comments/t0q22j/possible_fix_for_pc_frame_rate/) prior to booting the game up for the first time, so perhaps I would've had more issues if I hadn't done that. Not sure. All I can say is that for me it's running almost perfectly. Also, PC support isn't great. You pretty much need a controller to play this game, it definitely wasn't made with KB+M in mind. Ultrawide isn't supported, and the frame rate is capped at 60 FPS. However, if you don't mind not playing in ultrawide, are okay with not getting 144 FPS in an RPG, and are willing to play with a controller, do yourself a favor and get this game. You won't regret it.

Contains almost as much content as the main game, and is almost as good. Great addition to an amazing game. Definitely recommend.

It's a short game, but it's one of the best games I've ever played. Worth every penny

This is going to be a pretty unpopular opinion probably, but I don't think Dark Souls 1 is as good as people say it is. Up until the halfway point (you'll know what I mean) it's really good, but most areas afterwards I've only wanted to get it over with. The bosses as well, the four bosses with the Lord Souls aren't fun. They each have a gimmick, and once you know the gimmick there's no challenge at all. The controls are clunky, lock-on is busted, and the camera in some boss fights is a harder battle than the boss itself.

Right now I'm almost done with the game, and I'd say the last time I actually found a boss fun was the halfway point boss. Right now I'm only finishing it because I took it upon myself to see it through. IMO Dark Souls 3 is far, far better, and actually remains consistent with its quality throughout the game.

Summarizing:
The first half of the game is 9/10, the second half of the game is 5/10.

Without a doubt the best videogame I have ever played. I have to say that I didn't play Baldur's Gate when it came out, nor did I play Oblivion when it came out, so while I have played them, I didn't get to experience them in the era they were made. That said, in my opinion The Witcher 3 is the classic of this decade.

Graphics and views are amazing (especially in Blood & Wine), story and the world itself are very good and if you've read the books that takes them up another notch, combat is also very good, and side quests are the best I've seen in any game ever, and the same goes for the DLC. Now, except for the side quests, I don't think The Witcher 3 is the best in any one thing. It just combines every aspect of what makes an amazing RPG. It isn't perfect, no game is. The Witcher 3 comes damn close though. That's why this game is a 10/10 for me. For me a 10/10 doesn't necessarily mean 'perfect', it just means that this game is so damn good that it's a new standard to measure new RPGs with. Let's hope CDPR keeps up their amazing work and makes Cyberpunk 2077 as good as (or dare I say better than?) The Witcher 3.

All in all, let's just say that The Witcher 3 is the kind of game you'll play, and then, a couple years later, you'll hear the soundtrack somewhere and still get goosebumps because you remember how good it was.
