I first heard about this game when it was first teased for Xbox one and I owned the game that year at Christmas time. My original playthrough on Xbox was very enjoyable as I was not getting every collectable and doing every side mission I was just traversing Sunset City till my heart's content. I picked this game up again when it was released on pc for £14.99 to my surprise the games price was fair for a re-release of an older title. I started playing the game casually as I did before but after completing the story which took about 9 or so hours I realised that there were many things I had missed when playing on Xbox. Sadly after the story ends this game becomes the blandest and repetitive game to 100% complete. I made it my mission to 100% this title as it was my favourite when I was younger and after doing every side mission, collecting every collectable and doing all the time trail missions that this game did not have much to offer outside of its story mode and I do not recommend trying to one hundred per cent it as the missions become bland and your customised character barely speaks a word throughout most of the side missions, as well as some missions glitching out and forcing me to either restart the game or kill myself to stop the momentum of the gameplay. The side missions mainly use mechanics from previous story mode missions just in different areas and are mostly repetitive filler missions to keep the player busy. This game features all the DLC that was provided for the original release which gives you two new areas to explore, costumes and weapons. The first DLC which takes place on an oil rig has a cool design and they change the way the OD look. There are new collectables and new story and side missions that to me personally do not feel as polished as the base game. The story is boring in both DLC's and if it wasn't for me forcing myself to 100% this game I would not have touched them. The game still has many positives if you are a casual player with a smooth parkour system and some creative weapons that can change the flow of gameplay, the story is full of fourth wall breaking and pop culture references which made me laugh at points but it lacks character development so when something significant happens in the story nothing really changes. The customisation is great with tones of clothing items to choose from and you are able to change every item of clothing even your melee weapons. The amp system which provides power-ups for the player and their weapons I did not pay attention to until I was told I had to upgrade a station in the story or when there was an achievement involved, some amps are more overpowered than others which makes the player not want to experiment with different abilities. Although this game has many flaws if you are a casual player I highly recommend this game because of its fluid parkour system and great gunplay.
