A friend got me this, I got hooked up easily, pretty nice game and good combat.

The game is absolutely fantastic, I enjoyed it. Yet I wont say it doesn't have any downsides.

Now before you buy, keep in mind that this game is a JRPG, it is a story focused game and it is heavy in dialogues.


You get to play both Kasane and Yuito, there is only 1 story, but both of them have their own perspective, they have the so called "duality" of the story. You would of course fully understand the story after playing both side. I wouldn't say the story is short nor long, I suppose it is sufficient to fully tell the tale. I do hope to get extensions of story through DLCs or something, not that I have high hopes but its not bad wishing for it.

Apparently, if you are looking for heavy combat systems or such, this might be the downfall for you.

-Variety of Others (enemies) aren't much, I don't know what amount of variation of enemies you expect to fight (in terms of design or their movement), but dont expect too much. The only bad thing here is if you get bored easily on fighting same monsters over and over, then this game might not suit you well.

-Sufficient amount of map. Not too few and not too many, just enough for me, but for you, you might look for more. But in the end, there is no disappointing map in the game, all of them are good.

Additionally, the OST in this game is absolutely fantastic.


Its fun to play the game at your own pace, no need to rush the story, sometimes you'll appreciate the game when you take it slow and enjoy yourself with the contents it offers.

I finished my first playthrough at 38 hours. I enjoyed every single second of it as I explore and increase my bond with my allies more, rather than focus on finishing the story fast.

Just for the background, I bought the game on a discount of 70% off.

It took me 3 separate decisions whether I'll keep the game or request a refund. All of those made me process whether the game is actually worth taking or not, but in the end I just let it stayed in my library. During those times I analyzed which is bad in this game and which is good. So yeah, to help you decide, I would say the game is only worth buying once it goes sale 50% and above, but sale of 50% and below, don't even think of buying it, its not worth it, too expensive.

Pros
- The map is huge, like legit huge and have variety like country roads, cities, and whatever the fk is out there.

- The customization is limitless, I mean it. From body parts, down to wraps (decals and paint). This is probably the best part of the game, if you're bored with racing, take a little break and try to be creative in making a wrap. You can also look for wraps uploaded by other players, which is neat I suppose.

- The game cutscenes(?) or transitions are absolutely good, I mean it. Transitioning from day to night, roam to race, garage to roam, and vice-versa, all of those looks absolutely good.

- Cars, there are various of cars to choose from, which is nice. All of them are customizable (well some have limited body changes and so..). And the best part is you unlock cars fast because you can unlock like 2-3 cars per reputation level (afaik).

- The thrill of the night . Night race is far better than Day, like what the game says, risk it or leave it, the Night race is pretty much the thrill factor of the game, for the reason that cops can literally ♥♥♥ you up while racing. For beginners, night race would be hard (because it is hard to outrun cops with a slow car), but as you progress it gets easier and easier.

- Cars can be upgraded to the max. Your starter car can still be used till the end, which is what I'm doing. You can swap the engine of the car, increasing its maximum Horsepower and ♥♥♥♥♥ to make it even more faster. Which is nice, right now, I'm still using my starter car.

Neutral

- There are some race events that gives high paying reward. Although this is a nice thing.. but you know, people can just spam this race until they have enough money which makes the other race events uninteresting to do. They should've add or made rewards randomize or something. But like I said, it is good and bad, that is why it is on neutral.
- OST.. man i dont even know what to feel with OST. OSTs are good, but they are only few, some OST are kinda irritating tho, but still, its nice. TBH, i dont know how to react.

Cons

- Game is dead. Not technically dead, but update dead. The last update was the crossplay thingy, as far as I know. Which is sad because I'm expecting a bit more improvements or additional gameplays and such.. still the game already offers a lot of enjoyable things to do, so I'm not really complaining.

- Steering and Drifting can be a little frustrating, at first and after an upgrade. But when you get a hold of it it'll be fine.

- Game UI does not absolutely fit PC. It's like a port from console to pc, they didn't even fixed the UI. The default keyboard binding is horrible (as said by others, because I use controller). I tried it myself and it kinda feels awkward tbh. Unless you have a controller, interacting with the UI might be harder than what it is. Although the UI looks great, but still, there is a big issue for PC controls.

- Cringy story lines. yeah.

Overall, I would rate the game 9/10

This game gives me a lot of anxiety, imagine hearing footsteps all around you, then suddenly getting shot at nowhere.

Kidding aside, this game is far better than CSGO. Cmon, its realistic to the point that you'll get one tapped in the head. Fun to play with friends, though the new reverse friendly fire killed the fun, still, its worth your money. Tons of operators to choose from, and new ones added every year.

THIS GAME IS THE BEST! You can really feel the game. The atmosphere, the lines, and the music makes it better!! Totally worth your time. The game really forces you to discover different endings, and the best part is, its not one sided, you are free to choose your side.
