Early Access Review
The full game is not out yet, but few other games get you thinking about angles like this. Great as a sort of DuoLingo style homework for CQB/Building Searches.

Amazing combination of tactical and casual fun. You can pick it up and play at any time, or get very serious with it. Only downside is the lack of populated PvP servers stateside, so probably you'd have to organize your friends for that.

I discovered this game because I was wondering about the mechanics of tracking in games, and found out about the Detective class- which allows just that. All the roles balance well against each other, depending on the map. The variety of playstyles and synergies available to teams makes the game extremely fun to play with friends. Consider the Manager, which closes vaults, and the Reinforcer, which reinforces structures and can put an item down that temporarily immobilizes people through electrocution. A Manager can put the Reinforcer in the vault, and the Reinforcer can place that item in the vault, so that incoming robbers are stopped in their tracks. Similarly, the Vault Cracker can't disguise herself, but when paired with the Geeks (who can ping cops for everyone to see), she can play an elaborate game of hide and seek. And this is what this game offers- a rich multiplayer experienced of hide and seek, cops and robbers, that anyone can pick up and play for 5 minutes. The learning curve is present, but most adult gamers would probably catch up in five to ten hours. Overall, an excellent casual multiplayer competitive game.

Which brings us to the official servers: they seem to be in Central Europe, and it would be nice to have more dedicated servers elsewhere. It looks like more players from other regions are getting the game, too- though it does appear that most people prefer to play with friends where possible, rather than the general public.

You've been frantically searching for some ammunition, mysteriously left in a water-proof case in an oceanic labyrinth inspired by Bikini Bottom, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Sphere. You've got your crew, straight out of the Into the Blue, except there's only one female booty to ogle, but hey, everyone like's Alejandro's butt, too.

There's a minute movement in the water, a change of light that barely registers, but you're too busy staring at the shiny gold idol that's going to buy you that 50 footer you've always wanted, and all the champagne your ex-girlfriend insisted on wasting on a christening.

The torpedo that hits you is made of living steel, and it's covered in sandpaper. You've dropped your trusty underwater pistol (maybe that paranoia was justified, after all?) and now you're going full Prison Break on this fatal fish. It doesn't matter that your knife is only five inches long and you can't generate as much force under water. You stab, because that's the only thing you can do when there's a killing machine the size of a Nissan Leaf shaking you around like a plush toy.

Somehow...somehow, you survive. Your friend's toxic speargun made the shark sick, and it floats in front of you, a grisly ghost. It may not have taken your life, but it did take your peace of mind.

Now every time you look at something shiny and gold, you'll wonder if the shark is lurking in the shadows, biding it's time for the perfect moment to lunge. You see, these sharks have sentient human minds behind them, and as Jurassic World and Deep Blue Sea tell us, intelligent carnivores that move as fast as a moped are not a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke.

tl;dr this is an asymmetric, omni-directional take on the multiplayer fps genre, and it's a lot of fun. Like Insurgency and CS:GO, it could probably use more stuff, but what's here is well-done, and that's more than can be said for any other asymmetric shooter.

The Saints Row increased the level of ridiculous, wacky mayhem and cartoonish plots with every installment.

So when I say this combines super-hero powers with Independence Day and the Matrix, I'm not exaggerating.

It is that awesome.

Sleeping Dogs explores that most important of questions: what if GTA was a Hong Kong cop movie?

The result is more than satisfactory, with an engaging storyline and the ability to break your enemy's bones a dozen different ways. Features a more punishing melee combat system similar to the Batman: Arkham series, with a better sense of timing.

Those are the only two factors that pull it out of mediocrity, but in this case, it's enough.

Like 2, except with equipment that would be too expensive to outfit all of today's modern infantry with.

Oh, and the swimming and underwater stuff is nice.

It still suffers from frame rate issues, unfortunately.

All the fun of a training exercise, with showers, from the comfort of your own home and without bureaucratic pre-determined outcomes.

The best game where you get to figure out how you can get your idiot firstborn killed so your genius second inherits your lands instead.
