This is still the game I have loved for all these many moons, but it's been suffering under some bad decisions as of late. And because it's Valve, as of late means a whole year.

This might be the best DLC Payday 2 has. A fun heist with great music + 3 smgs that aren't underpowered + some good melee weapons + Hotline masks that fit right in.
It is most certainly worth it to buy this on sale, but I would say it's still worth it at regular price if you plan to buy any DLC at all.
Day 1 of the heist is great, running around a motel with plenty of main and optional objectives. Day 2 starts off awesome with a chaotic run through a spiraling maze of an abandoned buliding. It is let down by a long holdout in the penthouse, which is but a small 3 rooms with 2 balconies and a hallway. Overall the heist is still very fun, and the Hotline inspired music fits perfectly.
The 3 smgs push this pack from just a heist DLC to a combination of a heist DLC with a weapon pack DLC, which is good. They are all quite balanced. So much so, that before and after the weapon rebalance they set the standard for what smg stats should be.
The melee weapons are nice. They were my most used ones before the taser and kunai came along with some intersting mechanics.

This is probably the worst and least necessary of all the DLC. Only 3 guns and a grenade reskin with the least amount of mods ever released.
The lever action has very little power to it and reloads slow. It's classified as a sniper rifle, but the scope on it doesn't line up with where the bullets go.
The revolver was the highlight of this pack, until a better revolver got released with the Alesso Heist DLC. It's balanced for what a video game revolver should be. It has really high damage but only has 6 shots and is very slow to reload. A high concealment makes it good for Fugitive builds and it's a good Mastermind pistol if you have the skills. However, the Matever does all this and reloads faster, kinda negating the one good part of this Western DLC.
The bow was unique, until the Chivarly DLC added more arrow type weapons. The bow is a very niche weapon, since it works on projectile phsyics and those are at the mercy of the game's horrible desync engine. You can pick up arrows after shooting them, unless you use explosive arrows but you can get more arrows from ammo bags. The bow is probably the highest concealed primary available, but it's still a bow. There's a reason guns took over from bows. If you're taking on enemies one by one like the bow needs you to do, you might as well stick to a shotgun.
The melee weapons are all nothing new and stats wise are completely inferior to other choices.
Unless you are like me and are dedicated to getting every last achievement, I cannot recommend avoiding this DLC enough.
