When the game works it's a very fun one. The problem is, my friend and I could have finished the game in one short weekend if it wasn't for all the crashing that we experienced. Whenever I would go to upgrade skills, I crashed. When I went to upgrade armor more than once, I crashed. When we were standing at an upgrade point taking a bio break, crash. For no apparent reason, the game just crashes. There seems to be a high chance for bugs/world events to bug and not spawn or turn in, leaving you without the reward and more than a little frustration.

If the team patches the game a couple times to clean up the bugs it'll go from an okay game to a really good game, but as it stands now I can only recommend it if you're able to get it on sale for MAYBE $30. Any more than that and you're over paying.

This is a fun game with a hint of horror/terror in it. My main issue is that the characters are not designed around their roles. Each of them are doing half of each others jobs, and both of them very poorly. The person with all the firepower is the same person that does all the techie hacking and everything, leaving the supposed techie guy to defend him with a sole pistol (albeit the Halo one pistol). The puzzles can also be overly vague rather than difficult, with a few interesting ideas/mechanics involved. Overall I support the dev and hope they keep growing into the genre, developing and honing their ideas. It's an excellent step into solid game development and is worth a play through, maybe a second after a while.

After making it through mission four I'm more than slightly disappointed in the game as it stands. There's a lot of room for growth and potential, and if you can get the game at ~50% off then I can solidly recommend it. The lack of enemy variety and useless allies make the game a mindless dredge if your ammo doesn't hold up (which it won't) and leave you dodging enemies that will randomly be able to outpace you at the highest speed burst you can manage, because otherwise there's no threat to them as long as you keep half an eye on the mini map, while you're waiting an ungodly long time for your resupply to land.

In its current state I'd give the game about a 4/10, but if the AI engine can be improved upon and the enemy variety improved it would be an easy 7/10. At the very least I do hope the developer keeps growing and improving, making bigger and better projects!

As it's own game, I can recommend it (after a few hotfixes for several bugs regarding ledges, stamina and combat), but it is definitely a far cry from the original. It introduces a slight talent tree that adds to the game, but that's about it. The stealth system is too buggy, and when you go to kill an enemy in stealth it's a toss up if you'll kill them or get attacked while you're in mid animation.

All in all, it's a fine ninja game when you get past the bugs, but it's not a game I'd compare to the original.

Early Access Review
It LOOKS like a mech game, but it doesn't play like a mech game. The movements feels very much like what you get out of many of the thousands of anime MMOs (Rusty Hearts and Closers come to mind) with a great deal of "slide" in the walking. The mech completely moves as if it were a 100-200 pound person, not a 200 ton war machine. I'm not looking for something as stiff as something from Mech Warrior, just something that feels how it looks.

That being said, I'll still probably play the game when I'm in the right mood as it has MASSIVE amounts of customization that could be very fun and decent combat mechanics that are still a bit rough for me but seem mostly solid. But if you're looking for a game that fills a mech/gundam hole, I don't think this one fits the bill.

The game is a standard top down rpg control wise, but the multi character mechanics really add a whole new level of strategy to the game, with random events and happenings.

After a minor 2100 hours, I can honestly say I would recommend this game from the initial content. I have yet to reach endgame content, but I'm having a blast walking around in all my characters. I would recommend you bring a couple friends with you for more great joy!
