GGG has a LOT of work to do before this game becomes good.

I don't want to leave this review. Destiny is the first game I vividly remember falling in love with back in the xbox days. Granted, my xbox broke before the taken king even came out so I missed what many would consider the golden age but loved the hell out of jumping off the map on Atheon to self res as sunslinger, glitching the bridge in Crota's End, and playing with my friends.

Preordered Destiny 2 as soon as it was announced and for the first few years I kept a warlock, titan, and hunter all at max light and grinded like hell. I've solo flawlessed all dungeons except for the new ones, have a bunch of seals including Rivensbane, I'm experienced in and have sherpa'd every raid except for RoN, new Crota's (which I've yet to run), and Scourge of The Past, which was sunset a couple of days after I started getting back into the game after a break. This brings me to the first issue.

Sunsetting. Man, does it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ suck. I loved the Leviathan raids - well, mainly Levi and Spire, but Eater was fun too. What I really miss, though, are the guns. My Midnight Coup and Ghost Primus will forever hold a place in my heart and my vault. My perfect rolled Duke Mk. 44 from the era where I loved hand cannons. Whisper of the worm meta was honestly a blast too, though that's still fine and just another gripe I have.

The original community is also a shell of what it once was. I've had multiple friend groups that I primarily made from joining 5 stacks doing raids and ended up joining one of their guilds for a while. Was a blast, we ran weekly raids, a bunch of nightfalls, and just overall grinded together. At some point (sometime after Forsaken, not sure when exactly), we all just take a break from the game. I think I'm the only one that ever came back, one is sometimes on but even then. And I can't say I blame them.

It just feel like Bungie doesn't value player time. And then, obviously, there's Lightfall. Personally, I liked lightfall. It was fine. I've always loved Calus and felt it was a good enough end for him, and day 1 RoN was a blast, but it just felt... unnecessary. The fact that the cutscene is very clearly spliced into 2 and everything we do somehow happens in between is honestly insulting. Like. We literally did nothing. Granted I had really high hopes for Lightfall. I love the Witness, Rhulk's easily one of my favorite characters in all of Destiny lore, and Vow's a GOATed raid. I just didn't feel the passion/heart was there. I've been trying but struggling to find my own love for this game again. I love the armor sets that have been coming out, some of the new exotics are great (Hierarchy of Needs my beloved), I try mixing up my builds but I just can't find the spark again. It's just the same old ♥♥♥♥ season after season, and now we're somehow gonna have another 7 month season leading into TFS, which... I sadly don't have very high hopes for anymore.

And, obviously, the lay offs. Like. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Bungie, what are you doing. Obviously it's all terrible and an absolute nightmare for everyone involved but I still can't wrap my head around Michael Salvatori being included. I mean, are you serious? The music is, far and away, the best and most consistent part of this game. The nostalgia I have for the older tracks, the absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awe that the DSC music inspired when you first exit the ship, the menu themes from Destiny 1 and 2. Come on, man. Now we won't even have that to fall back to in the future.

Anyway. Just my 2 cents, or 20 at this point. I could go on and go more into detail with all of this but it's all been said before and I'm sure it'll keep being said in the future. I'm disappointed, Bungie.

Wow. Where do I even begin. I laughed, I cried, I said hello to new friends and goodbye to old ones. Never before have I experienced such an immersive storyline stretching across the entireity of the 15 minutes of content. I haven't even mentioned the best part - the controls. My GOD the controls are beautiful, I'm an avid rocket league player and driving the car transformation.... I don't know that I can ever play Rocket League again. It's so fluid, so responsive, so magnificently perfect. Truly a game of the ages, I can't believe I discovered it before it blew up.

First arpg I've played and I'm hooked. Tons of fun, the story lines really cool, the end game activities are super addicting, and the major announcements from ExileCon really have me excited for its future. Would recommend

Editing to say: Wow, this aged like milk. Game gets progressively worse with each update and it genuinely seems like GGG wants it to die. Would not recommend starting off. Don't start.
