So, Ill start this review off with saying, I got the game free with my video card. And while I really enjoyed the game, Im glad I did not buy it. But I think its worth a play thru for anyone who likes Deadspace or Survival Horror in general.

So first off, my specs.
CPU, AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core Processor
GPU, Radeon RX 6900xt
32 Gigs DDR 4 Ram
and running the game on an M,2
I ran the game on max settings.

So, I beat the game, and I enjoyed the story for what it was. But it was predictable. I did have that bad of stuttering day one like most people did, so had several hours in it on the first day.

The gun-play is nice, but the weapons don't feel that different except for the Riot Fun and Assault Rifle.
The combat is by far the weakest part of the game for me. Your locked into single combat automatically and there is no way really to deal with more then one enemy that really works.
The different enemies did not feel much different and each encounter pretty much follows the same set of rules, Dodge, swing, shoot, sometimes GRP if there is more then one thing to fight. While not bad, it gets old fast. And all the boss fights are the same.. Run around the area, shoot till stunned and then melee. Again, while not bad, its a trope that has been around for awhile now and I wish they had found ways to vary the combat.

The environments were very well done, creepy feeling and it does a good job of making you feel alone and it does a good job of stressing you out at moments. Best part of the game in my opinion. No crazy puzzles to solve or anything, with only a couple moments of, this way is blocked, gotta get item A to get thru the door.

I don't want to spoil any of the story, so I wont go into the characters, other then that I liked the Main character.

All in all, worth a play thru, Not worth 60$ IMHO, Wait for it to go on sale.

A game I can keep going back to, A perma death style game, Kinda like Tarkov. If your hunter dies, you loose everything your hunter had on him/her. If you extract from the mission, several different factors count towards your end of match XP. If you killed a boss, if you killed players, how many other creatures, and so on and so on. You can level your hunter after every match and add perks which can change the whole way you play. Controls are a straight forward shooters controls and while the game does seem to have some questionable issues. Nothing that in my opinion are game breaking. Amazing game. Check it out.

To say I was excited when the Stand Alone released would be an understatement. Over a year ago, I sat and I waited for news of the release, only to have it pushed back, not once, but again and again. I watched videos, I read the news, I followed Rocket on Twitter. All the while filling my time playing the mod or other games. All the while waiting for the day.

Well that day is finally here... So I found myself once again waking up next to the ocean, with nothing to my name but some clothes, a flashlight, and a battery. So it begins. Seven hours later. What do I think? How does it feel? Honestly, It felt great, new, mysterious, and familer all at the same time. Forget what you know about the mod. With whole new loot system, more responsive controls, and a ton of new options, it plays like a different game. The old school DayZ feel is back. Tons of new weapons to choose from, clothing options to find. Do not mistake this for WarZ The Rip off.. Think of this as DayZ the way it should be. I enjoyed every minute of my time playing, I loved looting the new houses, getting lost in the woods, and dying from lack of food.

Now the game is riddled with bugs, some frame rate issues, and extended amounts of down time, but that is ok because when you click to spend your 30$ on this game, your not buying a completed retail release, your getting in on the ground floor, an very early alpha release, So you will need to expect randoms deaths, character wipes, log in issues, and just down right frustrating moments that will make you want to scream.

If you have ever wanted to support a game early in its life, and watch as it grows into a full fledge game, then go now and get this game. If you are one that can not handle bugs and glitches and character wipes, then this game is not for you. If your a DayZ fan, then this review will not tell you anything you do not already know.
