A focused puzzle game that succeeds in what it sets out to do. Excellent level design and a very steep difficulty make for a satisfying experience, and the forgiving rewind feature encourages you to tinker around in the levels without worrying about messing up and having to start over.

Fun, and I don't usually enjoy roguelikes. The directional dual-stick-shooter combat works quite well.

A first-person puzzler that utilizes voxels to let you interact with the environment. Antichamber bills itself as non-Euclidean, and it is to an extent, making it interesting enough to warrant a playthrough. However, those aspects tend to appear without warning or reason, and I think it's possible to make a non-Euclidean game that is logically consistent with itself (or at least within each level/area). I didn't much care for being arbitrarily warped to the other side of the map, but thankfully these oversteps were relatively few and far between.

The puzzles can be quite difficult (which is fine) and are well thought out. The ability to warp to different rooms saves the player from what would otherwise require quite a lot of backtracking.

Likely one of my favorite games. (I played it off Steam, so ignore my recorded playtime.)

If you enjoy 2D Zelda games, you will enjoy Anodyne. If you enjoy exploration, you will love Anodyne. Slight nondescriptive spoiler: the post-game content sets a new bar in gaming.

Short but excellent. An exploration-heavy platformer.

An excellent exercise in pure platforming. Its difficulty makes levels all the more fulfilling to complete.

Short and without intense gameplay. Recommended only if you can get it for cheap and you enjoy the bizarre.

Play only if you enjoy roguelikes with a heavy focus on luck and random events.

Fun, but ultimately overrated. I enjoyed the combat mechanics, and the premise is unique in that you're not trying to dominate the galaxy, but I felt the diplomacy lacked a certain amount of involvement and depth.

Slow, grindy, and not particularly interesting nor demanding, even at 10x speed. There are far better citybuilding games out there.
