This is an unbelievably good RPG, the fact that it didn't get too much recognition on the web, for me, is absolutely sinful. This ♥♥♥♥ hits so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard, it's such a good game.
Some asswipes are complaining that there is nothing to explore. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, they were just expecting some ubisoft camp clearing type ♥♥♥♥, just look at how few hours they put in the game, they are all disingenuous clowns, the exploration hits so hard, the non-linearity of quests is in-♥♥♥♥♥♥♥-sane, the worldbuilding is unfathomably hooking.
You want factions? You got factions! You want dope ass quests and breathtaking ps1 regions? You ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ got it. You want lovecraftian ♥♥♥♥? Well you sure as ♥♥♥♥ got it.
This is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ masterpiece, anyone, and I mean ANYONE who doesn't enjoy this game is most definitely a child with the attention span of a goldfish.
My opinion is objectively correct for I am superior to all you video game addicted clowns, read Lenin, suckers.

You will hit the content wall pretty early on in the game, but the potential is absolutely there.

The combat and mining segments are extremely barebones, relationship events are not present for most of the interesting characters.

The farming aspect is very satisfying.

It's a fun game as it is, but you can definitely tell it's unfinished in its current state.

This game lacks a portuguese Brazilian translation.
My gf loves the whole concept behind it and plays it when I'm with her, but she can't play while i'm away since i won't be here to translate it to her.
I am absolutely begging the devs, for the love of all that is holy, invest in a pt-br translation.
As i don't want to seem like a selfish ass, i'm sure you can profit from that stuff, i'll recommend it to all my friends, i don't care, i'm sure there is profit to be made.
Must say i've absolutely been in love with the game ever since the first one.
DLC is pretty cool, haven't played steamworld, but aye.

PLEASE PROVIDE THIS GAME WITH DLC CAMPAIGNS.
It's an absolute masterpiece, absolutely worth the price.

Ok, so, I've never been much of a fan of this series, but loved completing all locations in 3, BF and Origins, the locations had some variety to them and the writing was cheezy but engaging enough, mainly Origins, which was my favorite to explore and ♥♥♥♥ around in.

This game absolutely did not live up to my expectations, the locations all feel the same and the map may be a bit too big for my liking, it just feels like they shoved a bunch of ♥♥♥♥ to make it engaging but everything is the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ same, typical Ubisoft BS, but it felt a little more samey this time for some reason, you will notice VERY frequently reused maps for caves, I still haven't finished this one, but know for certain I'm not going to be completing all locations as i did with Origins.

And the writing, holy ♥♥♥♥, the writing, it felt like a trash History class, like, i don't remember this happening in any other AC games, the useless exposition was total cringe, let me give you an example: When you meet Sokrates, i ♥♥♥♥ you not, he says something along the lines of "Hello, i am Sokrates, but i am a philosopher [procedes to, i ♥♥♥♥ you not, explain one of his popular philosophical thoughts that you learn in like middle school]" and then some dude comes up and is like "Why hello there Sokrates, famous philosopher from the ancient greek world, everyone is waiting for you, since you're famous".

So, the game also has choices, which i liked, some times it worked really well and some other times it didn't, it's very obvious what the writers wanted you to do, i'll give an example of where it works and where it doesn't.

It works in: At the beginning of the game, there is this village that got plagued by some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up disease, a child friend of yours asks you to check up on them because she has a friend that lives there, as you arrive, the city has been burnt down to a crisp, you find a family tied up and some dudes whit swords, the family asks for help and the dudes with swords say that they're a danger to the rest of the island, since they are sick, and, as to not spread the disease around, they have to kill that family. It is very obvious that the writers want you to save the family, but living in a pandemic world, you know that ♥♥♥♥ ends badly, so i chose to let the family get killed, it was obviously a hard choice that had like a morality "greater good" sorta line of thought, I would hope the disease spread if i chose to help the family, though i'm not sure.

Where it doesn't work: Some fishermen kidnap a politician, tie him up and puts a couple snakes around him in hopes he'd die, you go to check up on the guy and then investigate the fishermen, who immediately appear after you check up on their house, so they're like pretty pissed off because they live in a poor part of the city and the politicians throw parties n waste money instead of investing in helping the poor (pretty reasonable to be pissed off about that tbh) so i decided not to be agressive towards them, choosing the more "reasonable" approach, where the main character says like "YO i'm not gonna kill you but stop pulling this ♥♥♥♥, that ain't the way to do ♥♥♥♥", and, again, i ♥♥♥♥ you not, they're instantly like "Why yes you are correct, we apologize, we were mistaken we shouldn't try to kill people, but we don't know what to do now!" and then the main character, once again, i ♥♥♥♥ you not, says "Stop focusing on the politicians and start working on your own place" (like legit coach Jordan Peterson sorta ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ talk that nobody ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ falls for anymore) and they're like "you are right, thank you for being a hero, you are generous and have a heart of gold, as shown by your actions today", like self congratulatory ♥♥♥♥ to try and catch the attention of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ normies who can't think for themselves.

What i like is that you have an option to choose if you're going to play as a woman or a man, which is good since playing as a woman satiates my body dysphoria a bit, (i'm not trans or anything, i just hate how my body looks). Also, from what it seems, the character you don't pick is going to be part of the baddies cult and you're likely going to have to fight em at some point, which i thought was pretty cool.

Sorry Ubisoft, but no ammout of ship fighting is going to convince me that this is a good game.

Tl;dr: The writing is absolute trash, the locations do not have enough variety to keep you going and the map is way bigger than it should be, some choices are really nice, but it gets ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ as the game progresses. It's a weak successor to Origins, but decent nonetheless. If you're thinking of buying this, just buy Origins instead, you'll get more fun out of it.

It's an above average looter shooter, think about what fallout 4 could have been if the devs gave a ♥♥♥♥, a nice little game, very immersive and well build, i don't know what you ♥♥♥♥♥ expected, it's a video game, not the third coming of Buddah, don't be naive, i got exactly the product i expected and i am happy with it.

Honestly it's your typical Ubisoft schlop, by buying this you're getting the usual Ubi experience, weak missions, weak characters, big paranormal thing you gotta shoot a bunch, drug sequence and so on, it's as shallow of a title as it could be, you get some treasure, kill some enemies to grab some treasure and all that, same as every Far Cry and AC entries.

That being said, I'm all for mindless entertainment, i love seeing numbers go up and headshoting some scrub romans, it's fun and the way they reimagined Egypt is absolutely breathtaking, couldn't be better, it feels like a real place if it wasn't for the npcs screaming "SAHM-AH SHA-AHT!!!!!!" every 5 seconds, seriously what the ♥♥♥♥ is that.

Anyways, buy it if you're into playing ♥♥♥♥ while listening to some podcasts or whatever, I personally liked playing it at work when i had nothing else to do it's a basic shooter looter.

they got the main so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ right this time, he is relatable af, but it seems like the other characters where made by ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ robots who have no idea on how human relations work, still, one of the only sakura games that got me feeling sad for the characters. not different from the other games in the sakura series tho, TOO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ SHORT.
