A fantastic adventure from beginning to end. The upgrades to both technical and graphical styles you obtain throughout the game are spaced out well enough that none of them overstay their welcome. The storyline could have been tighter, but Evoland wasn't about the tale being told, it was about the journey throughout various eras in RPGs. From hack and slash to turn based, from 16-bit all the way to 3D models on a prerendered background, it all felt great, which made the game an amazing experience.

If you're looking for a great story, or the best combat possible, you might want to turn away, but for everyone else that just wants a fun 2-3 hour trip down memory lane, it's a blast.
