arcade shooter with a nice high skill ceiling.
a strange blend of Red Dead Redemption, Borderlands and Assassin's Creed.

I beat this game about 4 times on Xbox before buying it here to beat it again.

Easily my favourite in the series, and in general, a game that I wholeheartedly recommend.

If you're reading this review then that means you've most certainly scrolled through the reviews for far too long.
Just buy the damn game already.

Great remaster of an absolute classic.
Cutscene audio glitch is a bit annoying, but fixable.

Feels like Dark Souls crossed with One Finger Death Punch except it made me break my keyboard.
You get pretty much exactly what you pay for with this one, a mostly mindless yet endlessly fun hack n' slash.

Gorn 2 is good.
If you haven't played the first game then you can basically ignore this review.
However, if you're like me, a die hard fan of the first game since the very beginning, or someone in a position of power on the dev team, then this review IS for you.

This game is great, but it has just 2 issues that really make it hard for me to love.

Now, don't get me wrong, I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ love Gorn.
The first one is by far my favourite VR game of all time, and this one is just as good in pretty much every way.
It takes the simple and addictive combat from the first game and expands it with new weapons, abilities and levels. What's not to like?

Well, just a couple things.

1: The hand swing movement is pretty bugged.
In the first game, the movement was incredibly smooth and fluid. Your hand moved you around in the world 1:1 with how it moved in the real world. It almost felt like you were dragging the world around YOU and it felt incredibly responsive. However when they brought it over to this game it became very clunky. There's a delay between when you press the button and when your hands move you around, and even when they ARE moving you around, it feels a little overly sensitive. The world doesn't move around your hand 1:1. If they could just bring back the feel of the arm swing movement from the first game, that'd be great.

2: Grabbing enemies is worse.
This is a slightly smaller gripe but one I still felt the need to bring up. Your hands will always collide with enemies even when you're not making a fist. This doesn't sound like a big deal on paper, but in practice it makes it harder to pick up and throw enemies cause you usually just end up shoving them away. Maybe add like a toggle for your open hands to not collide with enemies?

If both these issues are fixed, I will 100% be changing my review to a positive one, and you can bet I'll still be playing this game in the meantime, cause in spite of these 2 flaws...
