A really cool and interesting game.
Well made, quite polished.

Sadly doesn't give you a single reason to want to play it.
No pull, no clear progression, feels like it was supposed to be a PvE/PvP but then they dropped the PvP and a glaring hole was left behind.

This is not even early Alpha build. It was nowhere ready for release and it's literally unplayable.

Shame on you.

Really fun when working properly, tho sadly those times are few and far between.

The core game loop is perfect and offers exactly what you'd expect, but the rest of the game requires a lot more content, polish and depth.

The amount of missions I have disconnected from, samples lost and time wasted is what eventually made this review a thumbs down. Otherwise, it's a decent game with potential..

Moderator on the community discussions is deleting comments that are discussing anything bad about the game or offering any kind of critique.

So beware. We all know what kind of studios allow that behavior.

Other than that, its an okay game that is very very shallow, and there have been or will be no significant updates for the entire 2024.

Does nothing to fix the core problems of the game.

Never have I seen a developer to sturdy and ignorant about what their community wants.

They abandoned this game and never truly bothered to fix the gameplay and AI mess they created.

I honestly doubt that Civ 7 will be any different, I think it's time for a different owner for this franchise.

Update 10/4/2023 - Server issues aside, the game is just trash. It feels pointless and it goes too far away from what Payday was, on top of a plethora of terrible and lazy design choices.

This game will be ported to Mobile within the next year, as was surely the plan all along.

Do not waste your money on it, not even if its 5e on sale.

Can't preload the game if you paid full price on steam instead of Xbox.

Finally start the game you bought.

Be forced to go to Nebula for a 3rd party account.

Nebula can't handle the traffic because Starbreeze are all pure professionals.

Account creation loads forever until it expires.

Can't play the game you bought.

Looks fun, but not a 70e experience.

Pick up the complete edition on sale.

It's fine.

Sadly after about 50 - 60 hours it's nothing to write home about.

These devs are trash and they will never give the community any of the features we've been asking for since pre-release.

Still can't sort items, Still no survival mode, Perks still capped, Optimization is in the toilet since day 1... a skeleton crew working to create trash DLC that they pre-sold before they move onto Remnant 3 and cash out.

Shameful.
