Don't give money to CA.

A predatory company who will break promises and then blame the fans if their overpriced DLCs are not purchased.

They took Total War and simply ran it into the ground. There is nothing left anymore, no fun, no trust and certainly no hope.

I wanted to return to the game, but then I saw that you can enhance your new character with just a few purchases from the crown store... And it definitely killed the desire. It's not a free to play game, but it does treat it's players like it is, trying to milk the last few cents out of your wallet... Shame on you Eso, Shame on you Zenimax and Bethesda - eat a bag of ♥♥♥♥♥.

Come back to see if the game is fixed and finished, considering I really enjoyed what early access brought, just to find that it would take me another 50% of the game cost to enjoy the new additions. These days "Finished" seems to mean - ready to pump out overpriced DLCs.

Such a shame to ruin the good will gained by a really solid early access in this day and age. Wish I could refund.

So... I've been playing civ for roughly 26 years now, and in each and every one of them I have more than a 1000 hours, both playing alone or with friends. And I can say that Civ 6 is definitely the best one so far, in terms of depth, gameplay choices, replayability and visuals/sound. Gathering storm is bound to add even more depth to this game, and really make those "civ 5 is better" comments obsolete.

Yet, that EULA policy is insulting, and even tho I will sacrifice my privacy in order to play the game I love, I cannot recommend that anybody else does this, or say that it is even remotely okay that AAA developers are forcing this upon their players. (Don't skip reading it when you launch the game, please.)


Besides all that, the AI still doesn't exist in this game. It will manage to force a wave of troops your way at the start of a war, after which it will resume construction of wonders while you stomp out it's cities without breaking a sweat, even on Deity. If you fight they hate you, if you don't fight they like you - until you border them, then it's War within 15 turns. They will stomp out city states that go along with their own play style, and keep just 1 or 2 random ones on the map. Liberating them seems to be the only reason I get dragged into mindless Wars all the time.

Still I do love the game and will play it... If you choose to ignore everything that is bad, and enjoy the game for what it is (and it really is the best turn based strategy game out there), it will be a really fun experience. So I will play it, but I will really dislike myself for supporting this kind of development and publishing.

My Napoleon TW wont work on Win 10, so I'm leaving a bad review cuz CA showed no interest in helping out. Kind of personal on this one

Free weekend yet whatever I click it says "Buy the Game" - Well no I wont.

I wish TW did unit fighting like this, looks much more interesting, but apart from watching them fight there is apparently really very little else to do :(

Streamlined, pale shadow of Magicka 1, campaign finished in 2.5 hours of gameplay.

Still fun, if you bought it on sale.

Amazing game, Genre of it's own, true flagship for RTS games... But -

After 900 hours in the game I gotta put a negative review... the DLC practises are getting ridiculous, we are supposed to pay over 100e a year for DLCs that hardly have two AAA games worth of content in them. Certain DLCs simply destabilize the game, because they are not playtested with the entirety of the systems in the game, and at this point it feels like money milking, much like many other companies...

How bout something meaningful from time to time, just to calm this old fan's heart?

Abandoned game, has 1 part time developer working on weekends only.

Had it for a while, really is a fun game for 2 or 3 playthroughs.

Now I want to pirate it because It would take additional 3 AAA game's worth of money to get the random DLCs in order to play...
