So far, this game has been extremely fun and interesting. There are some quirks here and there with how things work. I do believe the resource usage rate is a bit excessive for the "recommended" difficulty, but at least there is a difficulty that allows you to control and configure those parameters.

The controls are smooth, and while a bit difficult to get used to, they do mimic how a space-faring semi truck would more than likely act. It's more than likely a matter of me getting used to the controls.

From the start the game seems like it is going to have a decent amount of content to warrant it's price and current build state, but we'll have to see as I progress further in the game. I do hope there is some longevity to this game as I could easily see myself playing it a bunch just like ETS2 and ATS.

Early Access Review
The game has potential, there is no denying that. I like it, I really do, but there are times I question if it is worth playing right now. The concept is fantastic, the monsters and creatures are pretty unique, the map size and player amount is perfect, the environment looks beautiful (As beautiful as a Louisiana swamp can look haha), the guns are pretty damn good, the meleeing is good. There is a lot about this game that is fantastic, but there is a good amount of stuff that ruins the fantastic parts. Their servers cannot take on so many people at once so they have capped them. That doesn't bother me that much since it doesn't seem to get in the way that much. There should be a "Hold Your Breath" mechanic so that you can shoot your guns at long range without them swaying so much. The damage you receive, while is very realistic, can be annoying and just feels like it is too much. The poison effect, especially from the locust/fly monster, is way too strong. If you have one bar left and get poisoned, you better be quick on the draw with your antidote, because it will kill you within five seconds, if that. Now that doesn't sound unreasonable, but it is when you combine it with the fact that there is about a two to three second animation with taking the needle out and having to hold right click and then press left click to begin the animation of curing yourself. From my experience, the spawns, so far, have been fantastic. Everyone seems to be spread apart pretty well, except for my most recent match. My friend and I jump into the game and head to the nearest clue, we get up the edge of the place and then get blasted in the back by two people within less than a minute of spawning, that is unacceptable with the size of the map and amount of players. I do think the whole rogue-like aspect of the game, for the genre and type of game that it is, is very unique and sets them apart from a lot of FPS's, but it just does not work well. Obviously it takes skill to play a game like this, but with how extremely easy it is to die in the game, the rogue-like aspect is unacceptable. My friends and I have hit little bumps, metaphorically, on whether or not we want to continue with the game if we're just gonna die so easily and lose our characters. Something that literally every player, that I've come across, has been doing, since I started playing the game, is camping the main monster compound. They will run around and find clues, sometimes, and then once the location is found, they will go and hide in the wooded areas and wait for other players to go kill the monster and then once they have banished it, they will ambush them outside. Granted, being a passive player is technically a strategy, but games don't usually just make it so easy for people to be passive. It is obviously something hard to combat, but there should be some type of penalty or something that affects passive players. The locust/fly lady was also able to attack me through the walls when I was looking around a compound and immediately killed me, so not all of the geometry and bounding boxes of objects seems to be working properly.

All in all, this game is fantastic, it really is. I cannot wait to see where it is in the coming months. It has a lot of potential. But to be honest, it should not have come out yet. It is not something that should be out for early access. Obviously, games are generally in development forever since they will constantly be updated, but this game is still in development to the point where it should not be out. I look forward to see where it goes.
