Nobody played this game because nobody played Gimmick 1 but its very good if punishing. Getting to the true final boss is a pain in the ass though so be wary of that.

If you dont enjoy aggressive monetization and stingy unlocks in your halo game then this isnt the game for you. Master Chief Collection also ruins its progression by forcing challenges on you too so its not just a problem with Infinite. Gunplay feels good, the powerups are more balanced than the ones in Reach, the weapon variety is nice even if some suck to use.

All that falls apart when you only get rewarded for doing a specific challenge and not for playing the objective of the map. Tons of great cosmetics are also locked behind real life promos just like Sea of Thieves and other microsoft games.

Only reason im making this review is to prove that Gamexplain, Gamespot etc have no clue what theyre saying when it comes to this remake. Unless theres major performance issues or game breaking bugs, this remake is perfectly fine. It lacks some polish in animations and has a few quirks that arent in the original but theres no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ way this game is a 2/10. MAYBE a 6 or 6.5 compared to the original.

The devs should be listening and fixing this game further but as it stands so far this remake is just below the original but the gameplay has aged very well. Dont let Andre or any of these other youtubers try to convince fans that BFBB was never good. They simply cant play platformers.

The platforming and puzzle sections feel really clunky but the shooting is very satisfying especially when you pull off tricks.

Basically Bit Trip Runner with less mechanics and content but surprisingly decent. I imagine the devs had a B-team crew working on this while making Runner 3 but i think i actually prefer this game just because it has no dumb quest missions or extreme difficulty spikes. Theres also no awful perspective changes that mess with depth perception like in Runner 3.

Maybe wait until its 10-15 bucks since its so light on content. Game is also buggy sometimes and leaderboards dont even work right now.

On a modest budget of 500k the devs somehow managed to make a game that feels different enough but still the sequel to the 1st game they should have made before Sega kept screwing them. To my knowledge this is also the first online co-op roguelite unless im mistaken.

Even with tons of bugs and control mapping problems it still manages to be exactly what TJ&E fans want. I hope the devs dont abandon this game and actually fix its issues so it can be definitive.
