got attacked so hard by evil zombie jail guy that the game crashed

6/10 would crash PC to be killed by stabby slashy jail man again

while gameplay wise this is a solid if not odd game with interesting environments

the Devs have made the odd choice to nix any support for VR and to let the wilted branch of the DK1 rift be their very flimsy implementation of VR

VR aside its a reasonably interesting and simple concept with some fun puzzle solving bits

sadly with the flaws inherent in the control system and with how it could have been done better in modern VR i cannot reccomend this game

a cute and casual puzzle platformer with interesting and unique mechanics

8/10 would squeek again :3

came expecting yiff and find a sadly unpolished arena shooter

while the trailer showes some game play i dont yet see ways to do the Yiff content and plus there should be a melee button as well as executions for assassinations ... i feel the sexy bits of this game are practically nonexistent and choosing loadouts is broken because you are stuck with the one weapon you start out with

2/10 would not arena yiff again

Ok so i am editing this but am not changing my views

Graphics: Exceptional

Graphically its nearly photo realistic save for minor misses (sad to see the ray tracing only turns on when in photo mode)

Physics: decent but limited

Vector based driving physics for rigid body cars with minimal damage modeling if any at all
Objects can be destroyed in a reasonably satisfactory manner but its sad that i cant choose to take a vehicle and plow through houses or thicker trees at higher speeds

Racing feel: Steering (with controller or keyboard) is too slow .. play Dirt 2 or BeamNG and see how slow this game decides it should turn the wheels on average

the slow steering results in over corrections without meaning to while with a real racing wheel i can turn the wheel faster than with controller which is a shame because this Simcade racer needs snappy steering to be reasonably decent

Story: simple and not entirely engaging

music: too much modern pop and not enough indie stuff or real rock music though a few gems lie within

Audio presentation: i have a Home theater setup with 5.1 surround with Dolby DTS and this game is exceptional with its audio presentation

Account security nonsense warning ... this game uses an absurd account security system that is not only heavily redundant but is the most obtuse implementation of account security i have ever seen (Ubisoft even does it better)

overall this game is a 6/10 and needs better/faster steering for controller and keyboard and i would prefer a damage model similar to Dirt 2 so the cars can look satisfying when they crash instead of acting like toys being thrown

buy this game if you wish but maybe do so on the Windows store so the account nonsense is less likely to happen

its like the old PS1 version but with a new coat of paint lol

arguably the best of the Bejeweled games with awesome music and enjoyable fantasy based visuals

graphics:

toony yet solid designs with the backgrounds seemingly telling a story

gameplay:

its a match 3 game so its kindof self evident BUT .. when you throw in the other game modes and the fact it has those interesting "power gems" it can be very satisfying

we first see the power gems in the previous game and this one perfects it

overall 7/10 but i wish the ending for 100% completion was more gratifying

overall this game is comming along very well

performance improvements have allowed for more complex scenes and the visual realism is something else considering that its running without any need for hardware accelerated ray tracing

Gameplay: (works best with some mods)

most of the time its a "break in and steal the thing" sim but some times the campaign allows you to just go crazy

Physics:

considering the hardware limitations of the average user and considering the density of the voxel grid its quite impressive

... if you are looking for a story this game is mostly just surface level stuff as of writing this but its looking like it will become more interesting

if you are just looking for a simple game with a fun sandbox that also has worshop support then this is the perfect game

8/10 would let a building come crashing down around me again

currently 11/28/21:

game runs flawlessly (in terms of performance) at max settings 4k hdr 60fps on my PC (see specs below)

gameplay:

PROS-

game looks better than most of the other halos with better reflection mapping and reasonably solid material works (thanks digital foundry)
mechanics are solid and "mantle" works good enough to be usable (wish i had infinite hookshot thingies)

guns are neat and most work ok enough

CONS-

dropshield needs to be buffed (needs to be deployed instantly instead of on ground ala halo 3)

rocket launcher takes too long to initialize resulting in needless delays when trying to use it in tight situations

SKULLS: .. (still cons) skulls NEED to do instant death (thats the whole point) ... sure i can accept we cant sprint with skulls thats fine ... but nerfing the damage output of skulls (and flags) is absurd and both flags and skulls should be instant death to people

Customization:

PROS---

well... not much here really ... yey i can change my nametag with words and letters.. (yay?)
... can kindof change how guns look (but not really)
CONS--- halo 1 had more customization options (yes am exaggerating)

spartan cosmetic customization is limited to an absurd degree and a large portion of such is behind some absurd paywall

... halo Eldewrito (the fan made halo 3 multiplayer game using Halo Online assets) had the most indepth customization out of any halo i had ever seen and it used halo 3s base engine for it all using bits found from halo onlines files and bits found from the old halo 3 for windows vista release

halo infinite however only lets you choose presets for amor colors and does NOT allow for any reasonable direct control of colors be it a list of pre decided colors or the hex value color system

EXPERIENCE/LEVEL UP BITS

absurdly poor/low levels of XP granted for playing any round without even factoring in medals or performance (and so far does not seem to contribute to unlocking armor cosmetics)


CHAT/communication

Chat needs to allow for the use of profanity (with the option to enable/disable it) Chat needs to be able to cross communicate between teams (i have yet to find a game that stops the ability to talk to everyone on server)

Halo MCC and Infinite both have broken chat systems and VOIP is kinda jank (needs better options to fix levels among other issues)

VEHICLES....

while i am aware there are more vehicles than just the mongoose and ghost and warthog ... my time with the ones i did try show me that they need to be worked on

when a vehicle is about to explode it sometimes will give a warning sound for about 3 seconds or so then it blows up but there is hardly any reasonable level of visual indication that its actually about to blow up .. sure the craft looks damaged but the difference between "damaged" and "about to actually blow up" is so minimal its nearly imperceptible ... coupled with the fact the audio that is supposed to play for when the vehicle is about to kill you by exploding does not always play (yes i can agree that a direct hit from a rocket or something similar should be instant) ... the issue is continual buildup of damage resulting in vehicle explosions (think continuious shooting with turret or something)

overall the game is reasonably well polished with a few bugs still present (fix the stupidly absurd aim assist for controllers please)

if i had to give one rating this game would deserve a 6.5/10

if i had to rate Independent parts it would be like this:

P-ups 6/10 (some of these have been changed from older halos to now require a button press to activate them and apparently you kill yourself when you try to use a powerup for holding the skull)

while i would reccomend this game if they at least fixed the issues with the skull/flag and the abhorrent customization and level XP nonsense ... in its current state i do not reccomend this game and it sucks because i loved halo as a franchise and while yes i have not played the campaign for this one i am concerned as to how well the game will work with these issues i have cited

oddly floaty when just going about ... the bike and presentation dont feel like they have any weight to them ... MX vs ATV is better at depicting weight and force and is overall a more fun game to play

if you want this specific game sure get it for 5$ but even then it does not quite feel worth it (yes i used the "advanced physics") its a legitimate floaty mess that looks dated even by 2019 standards
