movement system is horridly broken and the in game controls are overly simplified (is this only good on htc vive?)

graphics are mid and the gun play is decent enough but falls flat compared to other VR shooters like Onward

feels like it has some good bones and does at least partially play like time crisis but a tad more jank than i wanted

get this on sale

4/10 walks into the wrong zone and shoots left handedly with no option to force right handedness or left handedness

constantly crashing without predictable causes means i cannot recommend this game to anyone

if it wasnt crashing then i would say:

it plays like the old flash game but at full screen and with a sense of continuance between the 3 worlds

sadly however since i cant seem to finish a single level without the game glitching or hanging up or some other odd unreasonable thing happening in game then i have to recommend against purchasing it unless you get it for free or 90% off

poor servers with absurd ping levels combined with the lack of awareness of what makes for good gunplay

Dice should go back and play Battlefield Bad company 2 then 4 then Battlefield 1 and see what good gunplay is then replicate that into this game

when swapping from main to pistol i have had many times where my guy fumbles and doesnt do anything resulting in him dying

granades .... whos empty headed idea was it to "switch to" granades when i press G ... it should be "Press G to throw" or "Press and hold G to cook grenades"

battlefield SHOULD NOT have the ability to scrollthrough different items save for main firearm and pistol

if i wanted to scroll through all the items i have i would play Doom or Serious Sam .. i should press the number row numbers for the items NOT scroll to get them all as it removes speed from the gameplay allowing only for fumbling

graphics: .. .no big stepup in any real way looks more like battlefield 3 with a resolution bump

gadgets need better implementation

overall:

fix the horrid Ping issues and set the gunplay to that of Battlefield 4 and 1 with the sound design closer to 1 in terms of realism and depth

mini map and spawning works (mostly)

4/10 would not waste a week downloading this on DSL again

its a fairly solid "battlefield like" medieval combat game where the game plays alot like battlefield but has actual dismemberment and it has reasonably dynamic gameplay

only issue i have is that its slow with the weapon swings lol

i love doctor who... that said... this game is broken

no Index support (it uses the Wand controller layout mapped to the index but lacks the finesse one expects)

longer version down below:

game starts off promising (mostly) but its VERY hand holding to the point where it almost feels like it insults your intelligence as the player

when i purchased this game i expected to BE the doctor not be guided by Jhodi tron 5000 holo face (i wont be spelling her name right and thats a choice)

you are given the "new" sonic that was jodis sonic ... it is barely functional as a sonic with poor tracking and very pedantic pointing (unintuitive play really)

the game is so scripted that there is no room for improvisation ... you as the player are hand held audio guided through a very VERY linear story

its almost just a passive (hardly interactive) episode of Doctor who from after the time it was actually good (wish it was david tennant or matt smith or peter capaldi)

if you want a very pedantic hand holding game ... get this on sale for under 5$ as even that feels like it might be too much for this game

i feel sorry for the people who actually put effort into the environment as their work will be diminished by the quality of the gameplay which sadly is rather lackluster even given that its VR

Suggestions to the devs (if they ever actually read this)

make and allow for the tardis controls to be improvised with exception to the "launch lever" being used to actually "launch" the tardis

remove (or allow the option to disable) the doctors voice over

redo the game to where the player is the doctor and they have to make choices with a few potential outcomes (a sequel maybe?)

make the sonic screwdriver able to interact with the surrounding environment including the ability to scan objects or hack computers and whatnot but have this feel dynamic and not stiff or rigid (it technically is a wand so treat it like one)

i might later come back to try to pass the initial tardis puzzle but its so annoying and terribly designed that doing so feels like a chore

2/10 hardly worth the sale price

a very solid dungeon crawler game

a few minor issues with level generation on rare instances but aside from that it performs well and is properly hard to play but once you get to the point where you know what to expect then it gets easier to a degree but is still quite hard

it works most of the time but some of the recent updates feel like they are trying to turn steam VR into some META nonsense

also apparently when launching games through VR if those games have "options" (Ragnarock, Dirt Rally2.0) the game wont launch fully through VR until you click the things on desktop (which never used to be the case)

overall the software does work and has gotten reasonably robust but some of the more recent updates are questionable

Guitar Hero and BeatSabers love child

a very forgiving Rhythm game with no direct fail state

it is also technically a race for distance (the better and more accurate your note strikes the better and faster your rowers row)

neat landscapes

Pros:

a fun slightly silly aesthetic
runs flawlessly from my experience
fun songs that fit the vibe (mostly)
good workout

cons
online play can be spotty (no notable servers in my experience)
customization is minimal (but is present)

Overall:
would be fun to allow 2 player VR with both hybrid play (one in VR and the other in controller)
would also be fun to have 2 VR headsets plugged in and play in room space with those too

game is solid and performs very well and most of the songs feel like they fit well with the overall game vibe

8/10 would burn my arms off again trying to keep pace at 10 rank songs

a simple fun way to kill 5 min

destruction:

reasonably decent with solid physics (no building structural integrity)

cars behave as expected

detail is very good for destruction presentation

macro micro fun:

mostly not present (no peds or first person views)

sandbox free camera thing fixes this partially but the macro cannot stomp on the camera or pick up the camera

would be fun to have vore aspects or foot play aspects

character selection:

moderate (game should have custom model support but no currently available tutorials on how to do this)

Multiplayer:

(have not experienced this yet)

it looks fun tho

overall:

would be fun to have first person views of being micro with the other character being player controlled or AI controlled macro

vore as a feature would be fun with potential tongue play maybe?

would also be fun to be a micro in the cars while macro picks your car up and either eats you or throws you

would be fun to have macros sit on things (buildings or cars)

7.2/10 would throw busses into buildings again

wish there was other maps too

interesting premise ... sadly never got to finish the story due to the constant crashes and the lack of dev support leaves me to think i wasted my money on this..

2/10 an unfinished story is never worth starting
