This was an absolute blast!

I never managed to finish the original, always got bored, but this remake with ALOT of QoL changes, made it so much more enjoyable but still being faithful to the original. It looks fantastic too. I love how the sprites pop out of the 3D background, it almost looks like a pop-up book.

Positives:
- Beautiful sprite/3D combo
- The new character artwork is one of the best I've seen, with the exception of Bowman, he doesn't look laidback anymore.
- Easily breakable in the most fun ways. You can cook some great buffs, create some broken iems, or you can work on your pickpocketing and steal the best armor in the game from your own teammate 20% through the game, and many more ways.
- A lot of replayability. There are 11 characters but only 6 free spots, some only join if you started with a different hero, some don't join if you already have someone specific, but this also means...

Negatives:
- The whole main story resolves only around those 2 main characters, the others mostly just say a sentence here and there once they're recruited, but there are a lot of PA events to give spotlights to those characters, and you get different events depending what character-combo you have.
- The overworld has a lot of stutter, mostly when enemies pop-out. The overworld doesn't look that great compared to everything else.
- The arranged soundtrack doesn't do it for me, it also sounds like it's lower in volume than the original. Luckily you can switch between the Original/Arrangement easily.

Overall this is my favourite remake for quite some while and I wish we'd get more remakes of old-school rpgs looking like this.

This is my highlight this year!

It's a monster collector like Pokemon, but different enough to feel fresh.
There are 14 Types, but unlike in Pokemon there's no super effective/not very effective, instead it's debuff/buffs/type changes. Fire on Ice? It's effective, but turns the Ice monster into a Water Type which extingushes Fire lowering their offenses. Plants on Earth seeds it and puts leech seeds on every attack.

But my favourite part got to be the "shinys" in this game, called Bootlegs. Instead of every monster having one different coloured version, it's 14! And that's not all it does, it also changes the Type and the moves it learns.
For Example: There's a Fire-type dog but you found a rare yellow one? It's a Lightning-type now and learns Lightning-type moves.

The game also looks beautiful and runs smooth. It controls really well and once you get more movements abilities you'll zoom through the map.
There are also fusions who look different depending which two monsters you fused together. Oh and there's a built in randomizer.

Negatives:
- It crashes randomly, luckily it autosaves on every exit and fights and loads fast.
- Only 128 monsters. You'll see the same ones a lot, and because there's not a big pool it means you'll get spoiled what your evolution looks like before you get to it quite a few times. The Bootlegs do help here somewhat.
- Bad inventory management. You get so many stickers (This games TMs) but no way to sort them by Type or AP cost.
- The ending is too bittersweet for me, a 2nd choice would've helped here.

Overall probably one of the best games I've played the last 5 years, and I hope we get more monsters through updates and DLCs for years to come.

I wish I could go back in time to experience this game and the Planets for the first time again.

Massive improvements from Audiosurf 1 especially the algorithm that makes even slower songs work pretty well.
But go to audiosurf2.info for a community patch, because without it you are stuck with only your own files to play with. And you get stuff like leaderboards too.

Download and play the Ultimate True Ninja mod in the workshop to make your wrist beg for mercy, like mine is doing right now.

Okay, I think that's enough for this stupid Store Event.
