This game is a gem. Even with the recurrent scenarios, the notion of an emergent game is there. And its an indie that works like a charm. I like to think the sequel to this game can really push the limits of emergent gameplay and proceduraly generated campaign story by having even more scenarios in the pool.

I quite like the art of the game, but I still wish and hope that a more realistic looking isometric world and models will be present in the sequel. Also I wish it to go bigger and more immersive in the world screen.

Buy it at full price, or discount but get it for sure.

P.S. - You become attached a bit towards the characters you create, especially the throw away ones who in my case became my main go to characters for every new campaign.

The game keeps crashing randomly, any time, any where. Want to see your inventory - crash, want to roam a mission - crash, pub host in transition between areas - crash, crash, crash, crash. The Devs should be ashamed.

This is not an XCom game. Its a boutique cash grab, think how Siege took the Rainbow name to be sell a ♥♥♥♥ game. There is the hard meta of XCom, and then there's the dumb hard of this game. The game is a very restrictive game, with little to no room for a player's ingenuity. It punishes you for trying to think outside the box, unlike XCom where thinking outside the box was needed in many of the situations one found themselves in. The roster is pretty ♥♥♥♥, the abilities of each operator is so vanilla that its hard to create robust squad synergies. The meta is ♥♥♥♥, the actual gameplay is ♥♥♥♥, the characters are ♥♥♥♥, the voice actors cringe. The breach mechanism feels more like a gimmick since most of your shots will miss, cause "XCom". I have felt frustrated with this game, and its the bad kind of frustration and not the "oh damn" worthy frustration of XCom. I mean, this is a bad game game wise.

A pretty game with wasted potential . The idiots at EA and Dice ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up a golden possibility with this game. Asinine tutorials pretending to be "SP", NO ASIAN SERVERS, and still somehow run into Chinese hackers on other ones. I am not even gonna go into how the wokeness craze got started showing up with this one which ultimately led to the cyborg androgynous wannabe ♥♥♥♥ in BF5. I bought this in the sale bundle of 4, 1 and 5; and I still think it was a waste of my money. Props to the visual designers at Dice, not to their level designers or their AI developers. To EA i say this .|.

♥♥♥♥ Bun-♥♥♥♥-gee. I paid for the content you removed. Don't buy Beyond Light and encourage such ♥♥♥♥♥♥ corporate practices. Not the player's fault that the developers at Bungo can't write or maintain proper code. High time Bungo goes bottoms up, Halo was so many years ago and this Bungo is not that Bungie. This new snake-head of a corp needs to be killed off and its developers and CEOs blacklisted.

Not worth it. I bought it during a sale and even then I would not suggest you buy it. Housing is abysmal, you can only store things in a special kind of crate and not the chests you make for your house. Speaking of storage, the only way you might get storage is if you buy their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ESO+ plan for he craft bag, otherwise get ready to not have much storage for anything. Crafting is so dumbed down, it hurts my brain at times. The story is slightly better than Skyrim's and thats not saying much. You will be stuck in login ques for minutes after minutes cause their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ greedy developer decided to dump all Servers into 2 "mega" servers which cant even handle the small number of players left. Haven,t gone into PvP because the grind is too dumb to get min/max. Most of your opponents will be min/max dps dealers. The grind is dumb and pointless, One Tamriel ruined much of the game. And ZOS is right up there with the big 3 companies in the scummy monetization category. DO NOT BUY.

As you can see I was curious about this after UO, but the first hour in itself dismayed me. Don't even waste your disc space with this scam.

The developers of this game are clueless about CCG. They are idiots who think they understand CCGs. They are arrogant in the success of the original Witcher franchise, and it shows in their inability to create a good version of the game. This is not the same Gwent from the SP, they reduced the board layers to 2 to fit it into android bullshitery. They have shat on the NR faction players since closed beta and every other faction is more developed and buffed. It is like the devs have got an ST or SK faction dildos shoved up their rectums which shows in the amount of thought and time which has gone into buffing them over time. This is not a good CCG by any accounts now. Even Hearthstone has a better sense of balance. When you complain on their forums their SJW moderators ban you by calling any criticism rude, irrespective of the language used. To them I say go ♥♥♥♥ yourslef with your self-righteous fists rammed up your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. All in all this is not the Gwent that you might have loved in the SP.

April 2021: Out of curiosity I come back and this game is still an unbalanced piece of turd.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the developers have continued to be the inbred ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that they were post beta. ST and NG are still arse factions with insane cards that give too much utility for their meagre costs. ST can move you around with impunity while hurting you and causing their own harmony. NG can straight up lock, poison and steal cards form you. IF SHIELD DOESN'T DO ♥♥♥♥ AGAINST THESE THINGS, THEN WTF EVEN HAVE SHIELD ingame. All you can do is just sit and suck your thumb because some whoreson developer had to go live out his elvish fetish and gave them cancerous cards. NR (the faction I play) has every good card on ranged so your stuck with that row, the cards are ♥♥♥♥ to tempo into momentum. They are easily destroy/ removed and what else have you. "Git good" is the dumbest thing one can get in reply because its an unbalanced ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ roster of cards. They have continually punished NR players since closed beta (and yes I have played in the closed beta). Removal of the siege layer has ♥♥♥♥♥♥ NR the most since all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ inbred dim-witted jackassed developers who are working on this game have probably never played a CCG in their whole lives. Oh but they will sell you avatars and picture frames. I mean the failure of CP77 should have jolted the company in retrospection but nope, they have become to immune caught up in their own self-aggrandizing back-clapping. Give this game a wide berth, this is not GWENT, its not even a decent card game. I don't know what it is. Nice illustrations dont make a game good. And this is not a good game.

For a small dev team they brought out a very well designed side-scroller. The art direction is certainly a homage to ancient Greek art that one might see on amphorae. The plot is pretty much similar to God Of War in its essence. The mouse control sometimes feels floaty though. Also I got it during a sale and I would consider it a well made purchase.
