Basically the same old thing you're used to since Need For Speed 2015, with car upgrading system from Heat and the same kind of activities on the map, alternating between day and night. Same kind of events, same free roam stuff with jumps, speed traps, drift zones, etc. Basically, the real difference is an annoying cartoon effect gimmick that you can't turn off. Single player has the lamest story to date. I've seen adult movies with better writing than this. The woke movement is heavy with this one and it's one more annoyance you'll need to put up with when you just want to enjoy a racing game. Also, there's a rapper I never heard before that apparently is important to the game, except not really. Anyway, the soundtrack sucks as well. Not worth the purchase overall, definitely not worth it if you already have NFS Heat.
