Positives:

+ No Denuvo DRM. (Edit: The Epic Games version used Denuvo at launch and still hasn't been removed from that version for now.)

+ Support for Achievements.

+ DLSS Support for Nvidia RTX Cards.

+ Still plays like Crysis (2007) overall, despite the negatives I’m about to list from what I’ve experienced and read from other people.

Negatives:

- No Cloud Saving Support. (Edit: Subjective opinion since some people felt it isn't necessary, due to the campaign's short length but I personally disagree.)

- No Multiplayer and Crysis Warhead is still treated like the red-headed stepchild of the Crysis Family.

- It’s based off the PS3/XBOX 360 version which means the benefits of being able to quicksave are completely gone and now, the nanosuit powers have been nerfed both in effectiveness and how they control/feel.

- Apart from SVOGI and Ray Tracing, the “remastered” graphics artistically look much worse and uglier overall than the original PC version. Said Ray Tracing isn't worth the hit to performance since it only focuses on reflections.

- Optimisation on PC is still busted thanks to Cryengine still only using single threaded performance from the CPU. This results in constant stuttering even at the lowest settings while using v-sync.

- Lingering bugs that aren’t fixed in the Epic Games version still persist in the Steam version.

- Now uses EOS (Epic Online Services) despite strictly being a single player experience.

- Casts doubt that the remastering efforts for Crysis 2 and 3 won’t be a disaster, since both of them will be still Epic Games Store exclusives for a year.

- All of these negative aspects, combined with no actual improvements equate to making the 20% discount at launch and an extra 30% for those who own the original PC version, still a complete rip-off for what you’re paying for vs what you get.

Overall:

Buy Crysis (2007) instead and use graphical mods if you want a superior remastered experience. Do yourself a favour and save your money from buying this shoddy excuse of an official “remaster.”
