This was an excellent first entry for both Big Mode and Billy Basso. It's been many years since I've had this much fun with a Metroidvania, with the closest example I can think of being Metroid Dread in terms of enjoyment. Animal Well is not too long and the lack of combat is an interesting new twist for the genre. The abilities are unique and bend your brain as you get deeper in the well as you use them to traverse and solve puzzles. Speaking of, the puzzles were fantastic! I was able to solve the first ending and about 58 of the 64 eggs without a guide. Good luck for whoever tries to 100% this game with no help, especially if you plan to do the true ending. Overall very worth 25$, so buy it (and if you haven't played Metroid Dread yet, go play that first. It's the best the genre has ever had, and Animal Well is a very close second!).

Tekken 8 has brought me back to the franchise after a long hiatus since the PS2 era. This game plays/looks amazing and has it all. 32 fighters to choose from on launch, a comprehensive training mode that actually helps you learn and improve, extensive graphics configuration options, and real rollback netcode. I haven't felt drawn to fighting games in a long time but something about trying the latest tekken on launch was appealing and I'm so glad I caved and bought it. If you're on the fence, get it. Worth full price

This game will be looked back on as a decade defining entry for the 2020s. Just like the 90s had DOOM and Half Life, or the early 2000s had Halo or Call of Duty, or the 2010s having Skyrim or the Witcher 3, this is it. Possibly the best game I've ever played, if not in my top 3. Even if turn based isometric RPGs aren't your thing I think this game has something special for everyone to enjoy.

There were a couple really special moments in this game, but after hitting the 40-ish hour mark I was forcing myself to play it. As someone who played Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fallout NV, Skyrim, and Fallout 4 multiple times, I don't see myself finishing this game or ever really coming back to it. I was so stoked to play this, and I can't decide what I'm more disappointed about; the game itself or the fact that I now have to wait 5+ years for the next Bethesda game to *hopefully* be good. If you want a cool futuristic RPG go play Cyberpunk. If you want amazing world-building go play Baldur's Gate. If you want quality exploration go play the Witcher. But whatever you do, don't go into this game expecting to feel that same magic that the old Elder Scrolls or Fallout games had, because this game will start relatively strong and then drop off quick and leave you wanting more.

On paper it should be better in every way than Dying Light. But no, I tried to get into this game for 20 hours and it just dragged on. The first game was lightning in a bottle creativity and trying to stretch that appeal over an even larger open world could not hold my attention this time around.

Definitely worth spending 20$ on if you're looking for a semi-casual game to play solo or with friends. Yeah the game is pretty buggy at the moment but the devs have shown serious dedication with the amount of patches they've done since launch. If you like prophunt or dead by daylight, or both, this game is a must.
