Personally one of the best games I've played in recent memory. The kind of game that makes it hard to play anything else for a little while afterwards because it's either reminded you or shown you for the first time exactly how good games can be, and temporarily makes most other games feel disappointing. The setting, the art direction and graphics, the story and the way SIGNALIS tells it, the soundtrack, etc. are all incredible. I find it utterly inconceivable that this was the product of two people working on a game plus (I think only) one more working on the soundtrack.

I have only two complaints:
1) I find the enemy hitboxes to be annoyingly janky at times. Part of survival horror is knowing when to run and when to fight. I ran a lot, and got hit a lot when I felt I should have been outside an attack's range.
2) The restricted inventory makes the latter half of the game a bit too tedious when it comes to backtracking to get stuff you had to put away earlier for a puzzle you're working on now.

Outside of that, instant favorite.

Truly incredible how I've done my best to help her out and still came out feeling like a horrible person. Was very regularly presented with choices that chipped away at my moral fiber. Spent much of my currently very little time playing with my face in my hands muttering "I just want to help."
