Early Access Review
There are definitely some early access bugs, but this game has a lot of interesting mechanics and celebrates player choice and immersion. I think this will only get better with time, and I wholly recommend to anyone who is a fan of noire detective, cyberpunk, retro-futuristic themes.

This game is very good. A text based adventure that is also an exceptional sandbox, allowing you to run Sordland however you see fit. The developers have baked in a wonderful story with characters that feel real and all have individual motivations and backstories. This game is better the deeper you dive into the lore and you are never expressly punished for taking a path down a branching story-line. There is no "game over" screen that I'm aware of until the end of your first term, (i.e. completing the entire story) making this great for newer or inexperienced players too. I can't wait for an expansion or more projects coming from this studio. Highly recommend!

This game is really good, particularly with friends. You can play splitscreen, online, or amazingly, a combination of the two. That alone has made this one very easy for my friends to meet me in any situation. The game has lots of DnD elements, flexible classes, and enough difficulty to make you feel like you've earned some wins. You're overall progress in each game translates into points that you can use to unlock new classes, encounters, and items that will be available in future playthroughs, making you excited to give it another spin. All in all, it's a 10/10 in my book, considering the price is only 20 bucks.

After 510 hours on Civ V, none of which were spent afk, I think it's about time I give it a review.

There is no game in my library of over 250 titles that I have spent more time playing. The strategies are balanced and the mechanics make sense. Each civ is varied and they are all fun to play for their own reasons. When my friends ask for me to recommend a game on steam, this is always the first thing that I mention.

I've heard people say that the game was less than stellar when it first came out, and that it was improved with the various expansions. Luckily, I came in and got the complete edition after everything else was present, so I can't say if it's bad or good without them, but I can say that the game is extremely good with both Gods and Kings and Brave New World.

Just buy it. Especially if it's on sale. You'd get your moneys worth very quickly and you'll probably damage relationships with loved ones because you're so obsessed with playing it.

The only video game I've ever been able to get my girlfriend to play. She beat the game. 10/10

The game you're looking for is called Age of Wonders 3. It's on steam and the combat actually gives you tactical control and factors in elements like line of sight and terrain far better. This one is pretty good, but Age of Wonders 3 is infinitely better in every single way, including price.

Early Access Review
I've got an MSI Ghost GS60 gaming laptop. My specs are the stock ones if you want to look it up.

This is easily one of the most polished and well put together early access titles I've ever played. This is easily one of my favorite games in my library. I initially saw the game on their website and a friend and I decided to purchase it for a fun romp through torture/kidnapville. It turns out that I did very little torturing and kidnapping upon actually playing the game.

There is no terrain deformation or "terraforming" in this game and it does not intend on being implemented at all. At first, this may seem like a negative point, but the fact that the terrain is static affords for a much more strategic implementation of your building without the concern of people digging in or under your base. Building is fairly simple once you understand the mechanics, and if you've played Starforge, the block placement scheme is identical.

Environments are beautifully rendered and harvestable resources look natural while still being easy to identify. The lighting effects are second to none, and they way that the light sort of hazily bends around physical objects, (even if they are player made) is astounding for a title in it's alpha stages.

Weapons and armor are well balanced, but the combat system could use more depth. For instance, you currently do the same amount of damage regardless of using a stab, slice, or overhead attack. This will be easy to eventually fix, and I'm sure that they have plans to do so in the future. Siege weaponry falls into three categories; trebuchets, (which you have to counterweight and load) balistas, and bombs. As I am writing this review, bombs have been disabled due to the devastation that they can cause with an hours worth of grinding. I am not sure if they will be added in at a later date or rebalanced. All other siege engines work well within the game's resource curve and require more skill to use.

The only complaints that I have entail a more stable resource cost for certain blocks, and the actual public servers hosted by Code}{atch having serious issues. Obviously, greater anti-cheat measure need to be implemented as well, but in alpha stages, I don't expect that to be on the top of the to-do list.

Playing on a public server, (my first and only experience was with NA South B2) you will experience lag spikes almost every time a new player joins, and the servers will very frequently de-sync. The de-sync can be fixed by simply logging out and back in, but anything that you did during that period of de-sync is effectively null and void, as the game will place you back at the most recently synced instance. This can be quite annoying, especially because it tends to occur about once an hour (give or take). If you read any of the other reviews, you'll see that there is also a very large hacker population in the game. I use the term "hacker" lightly, because they're really just running a trainer in the background, so script kiddy would be a more accurate description.

Playing on a private server, I have experienced exactly zero of the afore mentioned issues. We have a small group of individuals on an RP instance and we all work to create rules and a running story for our kingdom. It's similar to a public server without the griefing. If someone takes the throne on our server, it's because they gathered men and laid siege to the castle and it's just awesome. The server never de-syncs and we have an extremely strict anti-hacker/anti-exploit admin who is not timid with the ban hammer.

I would never play this game on anything but a good private server. The difference is night and day, and there are tons of private servers that are hosting all of the time with different designations (i.e. combat, building, RP, etc.) Otherwise, the base game is great fun and one of the best games I've played in 2015 thus far.

I got this game on an impulse buy and purchased a second copy for a friend. This has been my first pleasent surprise of 2015. I hadn't been following the game up to release and I kind of assumed that it would be just another ♥♥♥♥♥♥ zombie survival title. Turns out that this game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome! Lots of fun romping around and killing everything in sight, but when night time comes you truly experience terror. If you're on the fence, it's totally worth it. Don't believe me? Read the thousands of other positive reviews.

To begin, here's my syestem specs:

i7-4710HQ

NVIDIA Gforce GTX 860M 4GB Memory

16GB DDR3 RAM

So, clearly this game has gotten quite a bit of negative press from fans and professional reviewers. I for one, have played for over 30 hours at the time of this review, and I honestly haven't experienced a single one of the reported issues. The city looks beautiful and the game mechanics have been (generally) improved from previous iterations of the series.

This being said, the game is very hardware intensive. It takes a pretty powerful system to be able to rock this thing on "ultra" graphics. I personally believe, (but cannot confirm) that many of the issues that people are experiencing are for this exact reason. If you are unsure as to whether your machine can run the game without any issues, then it probably can't. I guess Ubi capped the FPS at 30, which caused a sort of ♥♥♥♥ storm amongst the community, but I haven't really noticed or cared. I haven't had any frame rate dips on my computer, and the visuals look great to me, so /shrug. Oh! Also, the game download is a staggering 55GB, so if you have limited hard drive space, keep that in mind.

The story is engaging as ever. It does seem a bit rinse and repeat to an extent, but I've enjoyed it thus far. They said that the player character would be less "godly" but the combat is very much the same from the previous games, and once the best gear is unlocked, it is quite difficult to die. Speaking of, I enjoyed the ability to customize your character. It adds a bit of personality to how you prefer to play the game.

The ability to free-run down a building is a welcome addition. The NPC's feel much more alive, and they are frequently seen doing any number of activities as you're walking through the streets. The buildings are well designed, and you can travel through many of them, so there are naturally more ways to get from point A to point B. The map is very, very large, and as far as mechanics go, I would say that this is the best AC game to date.

I haven't played any co-op missions with anyone yet, but I have solo'd a few in private and they seem to be pretty good.

All in all, is it a must have in your collection? No. Is it the best AC game that I've played? No, comprehensive consideration causes me to give that award to Black Flag. Is the game woth picking up if you are a major fan and you have a rig that can run it? In my honest opinion, absolutely! It's been quite a bit of fun and I'm glad that I purchased it.

Early Access Review
The concept of this game interested me greatly, but in execution it seems to fall a bit short. Combine this with constant crash and graphical issues and I am disappointed to say that I can't recommend the game in it's current iteration.

If the operation issues were the only problem I would understand, as the game is in it's alpha stages at this moment, but I felt that (from what I have been able to play when the game does actually run) the "puzzles" have been rather boring and redundant. The main character seems unrealistic and two dimensional, and after logging over an hour in this game, I have no idea what the overarching plot is. What is the point? Am I just... wandering through this dream-scape running through light mazes for no conceivable reason? Am I trying to fix my dreams or...? I don't know. You're just some British dude who is solving puzzles. Based on his voice acting he, like me, is just doing it because he has nothing better to do. I keep expecting him to say, "well... I payed for this game so I might as well play it" since that is what I've been thinking the whole time.

I would also prefer some sort of alternative light source that emanates from the character without destroying some ambiance, or at least a brightness slider. This is the only game that I have ever played in which I was stuck, simply because I couldn't tell if I was walking into a wall or not.

All in all it needs a good deal of polish before it is playable. I think if the story were more engaging, or if the performance issues didn't exist, it would be worth it, but for right now I'm probably going to delete the local content until the full game is released and I wouldn't risk the roulette of whether or not it would work on your PC if you haven't bought it yet.
