This is coming from a returning player who played in the Beta, defeated Leviathan when it came out and did so for many weeks.
This game is outstanding, looking at the volume of content this game held back when I played compared to now, is unbelievable. It IS overwhelming at first, don't get me wrong, there are so many things used and needed within the two new DLC's; Shadowkeep and Forsaken. But all I can say is stick with it, the game rewards you for doing grindy bits, and actually gives you a sense of accomplishment, which these days is hard to come-by.
TL:DR Lots of content to get your head around, but hold on its worth it!

Pysonix sold the game to epic, the company to hold THEE biggest prize pool esport tournament to date, yeah that's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ terrible right? Rocket league professionals may get even more money for winning, it will have more funding and be made more widely known to players, what ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bastards could do such things to a game.
Avoid at all costs if you too like to suck micropenis's and completely incompetent for thinking for yourself.
Going to epic is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ great idea. It will bring more publicity to rocket league which it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ needs as it's player count is low for a esport scene game, THE PYSONIX TEAM WILL BE STILL WORKING ON THE GAME, but don't own it, but will probably earn more... People just love sucking off other people's ♥♥♥♥♥ and being a sheep unfortunately.
Also people who say "I ain't gonna buy ♥♥♥♥ now" oh boo ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hoo, we're all so proud of you, said nobody ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ever, you think Epic games would of bought Rocket League/Psyonix if they didn't think it was a great investment, it it had further and greater potential? Too many ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dim wits are allowed to use the review tool, there should be an IQ test on some of these delinquents before being let put in public. Use your own brain you morons, the games ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ great with 2k hours and it's about to get better. Jog on you wet wipes and see some sense.
