It's in Alpha, basically. But even then, the game didn't crash for me and I have played over 14 hours of it.
I love the new recruitment system, you can't just spam bunch of soldiers and level them up easily. The game is hard on a realistic mode. I had to suffer three 70 men armies because of the bandit camp bug (if you died in an assault on a camp, you would lose everything). But, at the end of the day, things are moving quickly and everything's coming together. I would definitely recommend buying it, even at the EA stage. Don't look at it like "it's unplayable, I will just buy it when it's fully out", but as in, you're part of the community and can help the devs with suggestions, threads, feedback etc. and take part in making M&B the greatest game ever made! <3
