Sorry, this game just isn't very good.

You can feel Blue Fire's potential as you're playing it, but it feels like it never saw a playtester's eyes. There are a lot of little quality of life issues that should have been caught and fixed. For a game that requires as much precision platforming as it does, the controls are very slippery. A lot of the games systems feel thrown in at random or hacked together, and the story/quest chains feel pretty messy. Worth it if it's on sale and you have 10 hours to kill.

It's the best metroidvania to date
