I loved shaking the rat, but I also quite enjoyed shaking the rat. In contrast, my girlfriend actually enjoyed shaking the rat. However, she also reminded me about the good feeling of squeezing the rat. When we really stop to think about this game I realise can you really have one without the other? Can you shake the rat without squeezing? Can you squeeze the rat without shaking? I don't think so. Truly when we really analyse the themes of the game we can see the need for balance and moderation in life. Too much shaking means your rat goes unsqueezed, too much squeezing means your rat is unshook. Only when we squeeze and shake our rats in equal measure can we truly reach enlightenment. Yes, we must sheeze the rat.

Fantastic game that is an improvement to the first game in almost every way, Also Stan Bush literally recorded a new song for this game that alone should sell you on it.

I was a bit worried when i heard shadow warrior 2 was going to be a looter shooter as i am not that big a fan of games like borderlands however i decided to give the game a try. My fears were quickly put to rest when i was reminded just how fun it is to cut up demons with a big sword, the swordplay feels better and more precise than ever and i no longer feel i have to move the camera all the way up to do a vertical slash. The gunplay is also an improvement over the first with a very large assortment of different weapons and while some weapons feel very similar to eachother the majority feel very unique.

While the first game followed very linear level design the levels in this game are a lot more open and a lot more vertical, due to the huge increase in level size from the first game Wang has been given a double jump and a vastly improved dash allowing you to move extremely quick. The verticality of this game really sets apart the levels from its predecessor it feels great going from rooftop to rooftop during fights and being able to escape to the ground or onto a roof is awesome.
A few of the levels especially the city ones can feel a bit samey especially towards the end of the game but the masssive ammount of enemy variety helps make some of the samey levels feel a little bit different and while some of the levels feel this way there are plenty that feel very unique, early on there was a level that mostly consisted of a massive dojo where almost every wall can be dashed through and destroyed which feels pretty badass.

The looting aspect of the game is a bit weak compared to the rest of the game but still servicable. Loot is really thrown at you in huge ammounts especially when you start fighting elite enemies and bosses you can expect bosses to go full diablo and just explode into loot it feels too common. Towards the end of the game i was getting 50-100 pieces of loot per mission so i find it best to only check what would be an upgrade at the end of a mission or every few missions otherwise you will be in the menu all the time and that aint a place you want to be. I think the menu needs a bit of work sorting loot by item level is a pain selling loot is a pain and there is no way to compare upgrades on a weapon without taking the upgrade out. The loot itself is only upgrades that you can socket into your guns or swords the vast majority of this is just flat number increases such as damage or higher clip size but there are a few interesting ones such as dual weilding or throwing your rocket launcher on the floor to act as an auto turret.

The story like the first is utter utter cheese but lets be honest those are the best kinds of stories, without giving too much away it's set 5 years after the end of the first game and goes even further off the rails. The dynamic of pure hatred the 2 main characters have for eachother results in a lot of very funny back and forth banter alongside the huge ammount of one liners and Wang jokes from Wang.

The game runs flawlessly for me on a 980ti and a 5930k if i uncap the framerate i get over 100 fps in every area on 1080p ultra and capped at 60 it didnt go below once considering how great the game looks and how much more open and vertical the levels are compared to the first game the performance is very impressive.

All in all i absolutely loved this game, in a time where the majority of games have a very serious tone it's great that we can still have games that are just pure dumb fun now buy this dumb game for an authentic ninja experience, personally i'd buy it for the new Stan Bush song alone.

Shock horror more anti consumer practices from Activision.
I was looking forward to the 3rd dlc pack and i bought all the other packs separately but now Activison have made it so you have buy the season pass to get the 3rd dlc so i have to pay £35 for one dlc pack. Just trying to gouge as much money as possible from the remaining few people that play this game on PC.
Don't support This bollocks.

Awful game do not buy.

I decided against my better judgement to give wrestling games a try again, what a mistake that was.
The port is very poor, the game always launches in windowed mode regardless of what you have it set to, there's tonnes of screen tearing even with v-sync on and entrances can very often tank the fps.
While the roster is very large there are some glaring omissions like Kurt Angle, Eddie Guerrero, Rey Mysterio, Rob Van Dam and Hulk Hogan, however Hogan is a more complicated issue. many of the characters are not in career mode and are mostly just there for free play.

The In ring gameplay is ok some of the new systems like the submission mechanic are downright awful but for the most part it's ok.
Career mode is where i spent most of my time. You start out in NXT and slowly climb the ranks till you face Finn Balor for the NXT title and then you are moved up to the main roster and can choose a belt to go after, The ambitious man that i am i went for the WWE title. For a while career mode was good i had a storyline since I'd come up from NXT which basically boiled down to the authority thinking i wasn't good enough. on the way to my first pay per view i had lots of cutscenes and interviews that helped develop the storyline which culminated in a ppv match against big show and kane. After that the story continues and advances to Triple H attacking me himself and running in on my matches, again lots of cutscenes and interviews to advance the storyline which ended with a hell in a cell match against Triple H where i pedigreed Triple H through the cell ceiling. This is where career mode took a turn for the worse, by this point i was pretty happy with career mode I'd had a good storyline and good matches but that all ended here. After the hell in a cell match i had no more storylines no more cutscenes nothing i was 4th in ranking for the title at this point and i was just playing matches against the likes of Ryback and Mark Henry over and over. Sometimes a wrestler would run in on my match and it would start a feud but after the run in it's back to the same old random matches and then i got a normal match at the ppv with a rival I'd have had no buildup for. Then the next night on raw the same wrestler i just ended a rivalry with comes out and starts it again so it's another month of the same match over and over to end in a ppv with no storyline or buildup.
By this point i was getting pretty bored of career mode and was considering uninstalling the game when i saw the next PPV was the royal rumble and i thought there's a storyline to be made there, then i got in a rivalry and thought ok i can eliminate this guy at the rumble and get the title shot this might be ok. Then the royal rumble came along and i saw i wasn't in the rumble even though i was the number 3 contender for the title, after some frantic googling to find out why it turns out if you are in a rivalry you can't do any special matches at a ppv so no money in the bank no royal rumble which is the dumbest thing I've ever seen if you made it so no one in a feud could be in the rumble then there would be like 3 people.

By this point i thought well ok I'll get in a feud with the rumble winner and make the title match a triple threat, well you can't do that either because the game doesn't tell you who won the rumble. After some more googling i found out it doesn't matter anyway because apparently the AI doesn't cash in money in the bank and doesn't take the rumble title shot so i thought I'll play till mania and get in a feud with the title holder then it happens... the message you are locked in a rivalry with a mystery opponent pops up I'm thinking ok another actual storyline this might be ok. Well as it turns out it was Triple H, i started getting the exact same cutscenes as when i started the game so i was playing through the single storyline this game has twice instead of getting the title shot at mania. After that i decided to just skip all my matches until money in the bank and go that route. I remembered not to get in a rivalry with anyone before it so i could be in the ladder match and on the day of the ppv I'm in a normal match with Kane even though i'm the number 1 contender.

The reason I'm telling this story is because anyone buying this game should know what they are in for a grind fest playing the same matches every week, no storylines, broken mechanics, and the game ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you every time you try to make a storyline yourself.
The career mode was very obviously rushed out the door and not play tested because anyone who is even a casual fan of wrestling would pick up on some of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in this mode like the fact that once you turn heel it's impossible to turn face, it considers hitting someone with a chair in the Tables Ladders and Chairs match a heel move, if you get thrown out of the ring the game acts like you ran out the ring and it's counted as a heel move however there's nothing the game considers a face action to counteract this.
The pay per views are laughable most of the ppvs in the game none of the titles are defended and at night of champions the one where all titles are defended one is defended. You have to be very lucky to be in a special match 99% of the time you will be in a normal 1v1 match regardless of whether it's mania, extreme rules, hell in a cell or the rumble.

The custom wrestler creator is decent not great and once you've made your wrestler be prepared to shell out money for the skill boost or start out unable to wrestle.
The only really good thing about this game is the entrance maker and even then you have to get a 3rd party program to get custom music for your entrance. Avoid this game at all costs unless you want Maggle Cole telling you how great it is to be on monday night raw even more than he already does.

Where can i start with Pat and Mat the video game. Have you ever played the perfect game? Have you ever tasted food so good you went into a coma for 2 weeks? Have you ever felt a love worth more than life it self? This is what Pat & Mat symbolizes to me, it is the very peak of human ingenuity. I have played many games in my time but none have touched me like Pat & Mat, The story is simple yet elegant There are no cut scenes and the story is shown simply through Pat & mat's interactions and how they deal with the struggles we all face in everyday life. In doing this they show us we are not alone in the world, they show us that life is about more than the money you earn and the things you own, they show us what it means to be human.

This is more than a video game, it's a way of life... This is Pat & Mat
