Overview:

The game has a ton of potential. However, at this point it feels like an alpha or beta version that was pushed to release too early. There are only a few different types of animals to hunt and only like 5-6 guns to upgrade to. The game just feels like the devs left stuff out for future DLC. Sure, the graphics and atmospheric elements are nice. But the fact that the game feels like a walking simulator is a problem. There are no incentives in the game. You literally walk around, find a target and kill it. Then you can see the stats from your kill and the animal once. Once you accept the kill you can never see any of those stats again. Why?

Here is my opinion on how the game could be better.

Since this game takes place on hunting reserves I feel like the devs should have added in lodges, or central hubs, where there are npc's that sell you gear, ammo, guns, etc. It would be a place that you could meet and hang out with your friends. In the lodge you could have the heads of animals mounted on walls that either the single player, or other players have killed, so people can see them. You could even place full sized 'stuffed' versions of the best kills from players in the game. In the cabins scattered around the map, maybe you could place trophies from animals that you have killed within them for viewing.

There should be some form of interaction with the environment within the game. By this I mean, being able to chop wood and start a fire, creating traps from smalls bushes and trees to catch small game, buying tree stands and hunting from above, or even FISHING. It would be really cool if you could buy a boat and cruise the lakes fishing as well. (Not to mention the fact that they have added ATV's in the game that you pay money for and you cannot drive over a small bush. In real life ATVs would have no problem doing this, but in the game you hit a half inch in diameter tree and it's like you hit a brick wall. There is no destructability in the game and that's a problem.)

An interesting mechanic could be to section off portions of the map so that players are limited to zones based on their level. It would not feel limiting as the maps are gigantic, but it would give the player something to work towards instead of just running around and killing things randomly. The bigger game (animals) would be located within these zones. There needs to be some incentive within the game for people to progress towards, or else you wont retain players.

There is so much potential that this game could have that it just isnt living up to. I have a bunch of other ideas; I could go on forever, but I'll spare you.

---Long story short, the graphics and atmosphere are beautiful, but the gameplay get repetitive quickly and there is no incentive to keep playing after the first ten hours. For being such a large open world game, it feels very barren and devoid of life and energy.
