ARK Survival Evolved(ARK) is a game in the same genere of Rust, 7 Days to Die, Conan Exiles and most other "Survival" games.
ARK encorporates many aspects of games previous, nothing ground breaking but added together make a unique experience.
There are multiple, and I mean multiple bugs still in the game. Including Your Dino tames just disappearing causing fustration and a loss of time + resources which is essentially more time lost, Your baby Dinos just dying on you. Don't believe me, just go to the official fourms and you will see a couple of nice compiled lists.
Now, I don't expect my computer to run at 25c while playing every game. In fact I usually run at an average temperature of around 30c. When I first played ARK I got a nice 45c, now I get around 35c. That isn't bad but you have to take into account that I am running 2 GTX Titan Blacks being watercooled. I was able to muster about 30 frames on mid-high while my friend was able to get around 15 on lowest settings. I don't like it when my friends can't play a game with me. Especially when I bought the game for them.
Overtime it got better, enjoyed the game not because I liked the endless grind(I actually had to increase all the multipliers for the server to x12) or dealing with all the bugs, but because I was able to play with my friends, at an affordable price.

The memories I created with this game will stick with me, from the first time we found and downed a quetzel, to the first time we killed a quetzel.
The first time we came arcross a Giga(luckily I was wearing my brown pants), to the first time I lost my Bronto named Brenda because we didn't know about the cliff ahead.
When I build my first straw shack, to when I first died to a "glowing red lizzard"(Alpha Raptor)

This game is built around a community that tolerates the bad to get to those moments of pure bliss. This new price is a product of greed.

Don't get me wrong, I would recommend this game if it were on sale. As it stands I would not recommend it

$60 i spent excpecting to come back to a finished game. I pre-purchased to help the devs do their thing. The game is buggy and I feel stiffed because of Titans. I don't recomend this game. Go play Titans if you want to support devs that won't support you.
