It's a really interesting game that reminds me of viscera cleanup detail but much more accessible.
The levels are really well designed and all tell a story with objects, notes and blood.
Very little bugs that I've encountered although the body physics can be a bit finicky at times.

I'd love for workshop levels, challenges or stuff like that to be added because it's a bit short (all achievements in less than 17 hours).

Tried it during a free weekend.
It's decent but in the end feels like a massively missed oportunity.

The gameplay is rather good for a NFS game, at least the base of it, Nitro and the Nitro boost system feels pointless and most of the time it doesn't give any advantage. The other racers often feel like they have rubber banding powers, you'll be upfront and suddenly they gain a massive amount of pace that you wouldn't even expect for superior classes of cars.

Another major down of that game for me is the music, it's all slow hip-hop/rap which is, in my opinion, a terrible pick for a fast paced game, I wouldn't mind it if it were only on menues like in NFSU2 or NFS most wanted (the real one, not the remake) or if you could access the list and make it your own like in Burnout paradise.

For the story, I think it could be interesting in the way most wanted was. However the prologue is really long and doesn't really do the job of a tutorial (a lot of info is hard to read or never really explained).

And another massive downside is that it'll install and launch the pointless and useless EA launcher.

One thing that I was surprised to like was the look of the game, the effects that are on the car, the cartoonish stuff really fits the game and I'ld have loved to explore it further but I won't buy it in the end.

I enjoyed the game a long while ago. It had something unique in it.
Then patches started dropping and I lost interest for a while. A 2.0 patch was anounced, then I decided to give it a try and ...
Everything was disappointing, I lost all my progress. You now have to pay for EVERYTHING.
Want an extra stash slot? drop 5 bucks. Want a skin, drop 5 bucks, want a new character? Pay again without having a chance to try it.

Worst part of it? Try to talk to the devs about it and they say you are requesting stupid stuff and that's they're not greedy AF.

Stay away from that, they're worse than EA and Blizzard.

They said patch 2.0 made the game better.
I highly disagree, there are still some game breaking bugs, now ennemies are just bullet sponges and there is no feeling of progression whatsoever.
I can't understand why people would pick this over any other open world.

Of course I recommend it. The Netherworld needs you and what better than to help demons, angels, earth defenders and the mighty powerful highly explosive prinnies get even more powerful.

On a more serious note, the story is great full of wit and humour that lands pretty well (for me at least). Gameplay mechanics are efficient and easy to understand yet complete enough so that you can have different solutions to most of the stages.

I like the concept but I won't recommend it for several reasons :
- The UI is terrible and not configurable. I'd like to have some data that are VERY useful like gap around my driver (just not leader) to plan my pit stops and strategies. As soon as you want to change your strategy or tell your driver something, you loose a part of the info. If you're not in the top 5 and you want to talk to your #1 driver, you loose all the info about timings for 2nd driver ? you loose the mini map.
- Accidents are not random and appear to happen/impact only your drivers. A pilot in a slower car had 4 lock ups in the race and lost a total of about 10s. My driver had one and lost 28 seconds... Why ? Same place, same symptoms 100 times the impact.
- Most of your screen is unused : especially if you have an ultra-wide, you'll just have the interface in the middle and the part of your screen that's wider than 16:9 is useless.
- Map screen is almost useless, the dots are so big that you don't see if another driver is fighting/lapping yours.
- Opponents pit stops often bug : 4 had their pit stop with tyres changed without going through the pit lane/stopping giving them a 25-30s advantage.
- No info on yellow/red Flag, you know there's one on the race interface, no other info on mini-map/map.
- You are bombarded by explanations. I don't mind a first time info but please, stop when I heard it, I'll click the help button if I need to hear it again. I don't need to hear that same line again every time you unlock an extra step in there.

It's a pass for me, even as a fan of F1 and racing games. I love thinking about the strategies but the views you get from watching the race live are more detailed and useful than what you have in game.

I don't what in this game is so mesmerizing and lead me to play it to 100% completion.
The universe is great and reminded me of micromachines V3 where our world items become ramps, platforms or even more. Each of those items feels well in place and at no moment did I feel like something was kicking me out of this world.
The game mechanics are really well integrated making progress in the game feel seamless.
The story is nice, nothing worthy of an oscar but leads you very nicely towards the end of the game where all the game mechanics snap in place for you to get to the end.
There are plenty of easter eggs and a lot of 4th wall breaks that keeps the game fresh without being in your face all the time.
Got it with the Ukraine bundle and it's one of the games I played the most from that bundle, it draw me back to it until I was done. I'm looking forward to the DLC and the sequel now.

This is terrible...
I've had a black screen on launch... ok, found a solution on launch, played for 2 minutes, black screen is back.
Done the thing again, back to working... 30 seconds after that, guess what, black screen ! This time, fixed by going nuts on various buttons on controllers.
And then another minute after that, guess who's back ? The frigging black screen.
But you know what the worst part of it is, the game plays very poorly when it works, hitboxes behave more than weirdly and there was no fun in the end.
Even in the humble bundle where I got it, I feel robbed, never playing again.

This game had so much potential but all of it is wasted by its inconsisency and lack of bug fixing.
The safety car and virtual safety car are so badly implemented they should not even be in the game.
Track limits are a joke (like karting track limits at the very begining of PCars 2) and will penalise you for nothing, sometimes even with the 4 wheels on track... and other times will let you cut a corner full gaz.
Damage is completely done by RNGeesus, and a race can be wasted by the awful slide physics combined with that RNG where a wheel will detach after a 15kph collision.
Keep your money, even at reduced price it is not a worthy game.
