Payday 2 is a heisting FPS that involves up to four players trying to rob banks, although there are more than just banks to rob, and there are other objectives to be completed as well, depending on the mission. There's two gameplay styles, loud which is basically taking on an army of cops and trying to fight them off while doing objectives. And stealth, which is trying to complete the objectives without raising the alarm. There's a variety of skills, weapons and weapon mods you can equip that allow you to build your character for either playstyle well, and the large number of heists you can do and loadouts you can create adds a lot of replay value. Unfortunately things can get boring at times, such as when you have to move a lot of bags, wait for something, or when completing a heist in stealth is tedious. There's also a lot of grinding involved, especially since lowering the skill point cost for certain skill trees requires resetting to level 1 and climbing back up to 100 multiple times. There's also numerous bugs and glitches in the game, but overall I'd say there's more fun to be had than not. The music's also really good too, and there's a lot of customization options for masks, and they also recently added suit customization to the game as well. Definitely better with friends, but bot skills make playing solo more bearable.

The Witcher 2 is an action RPG and sequel to The Witcher. The user interface takes some getting used to, but is not too hard to work with once you do understand how it works. There's a lot to learn and get used to actually, but the game has a handy (optional) tutorial that should help you understand how things work. Part of the game is making choices, usually affecting what items/side quests are available to you. Your choices in this game definitely feel like they have more of an impact here than in other choice based games. In fact, one of the choices at the end of chapter 1 completely changes what the rest of the game is like. Speaking of chapters, The Witcher 2 only has three, not counting the prologue and epilogue, so it's pretty short for an RPG, but still long enough that you shouldn't be able to beat it overnight, and the branching paths at the end of the first chapter, as well as other changes in the game and story based on your choices, add replayability. Sword combat is simple, but you can learn new things based on what skills you choose to give yourself when you level up. The game also has an unique way of limiting your inventory, instead of putting a limit on how much you can carry, you can carry as much as you want, but almost all items have weight to them, and if your inventory becomes too heavy, you can't run anymore, which also affects you in combat. You can also play dice poker, arm wrestling, and hand-to-hand fighting, which is a QTE. Overall a great RPG that's definitely worth playing if you're into these kind of games.

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, in case you can't tell from the title, is a racing game, and the sequel to Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing. In this game your car transforms into a plane or boat depending on what the course calls for at certain points. As you play the game you earn experience points, and when you level up, you earn a new mod for that character. Mods are changes to how your character's vehicle handles. Because you have to level up each character individually to unlock all the mods for all the characters, it can either be something that adds replay value for you, or be an unfun grind. Aside from the usual grand prix and versus modes, there is a quest mode as well, where you complete challenges to earn stars that allow you to unlock more characters, mods for characters, and of course more challenges. Some of these challenges can be really difficult at times, and to top it off there's also an extra difficulty to unlock that makes these challenges even harder. While the game doesn't have as many power ups or courses to choose from as Mario Kart games have nowadays, the gameplay is solid, and the courses often have multiple paths you can take that act as shortcuts. So far in these Sega All Stars games, I think this one has the best fan service. It's also the best looking and best sounding game in the series. This game is available for multiple platforms, but I recommend getting it on Steam assuming you have the specs to run it, since the Steam version has more exclusive characters than any other version, including an exclusive DLC character.

Half-Life is a first-person shooter, and a classic one at that. It hasn't aged well in terms of it's production values, but the gameplay still holds up really well today I think. A science experiment goes wrong and you have to fight your way through zombies, aliens, and even the military when the government decides to cover up what happened. It's not all shooting things, sometimes there's a puzzle to solve or people to escort and even occasional platforming. If you like first-person shooters and haven't already played this, this is an experience you definitely won't want to miss out on.

Faerie Solitaire, as if you couldn't guess, is a solitaire game. It has a few things to make it different from being just regular solitaire. Sometimes you can't begin to work on a stack until you clear another stack first, and sometimes you need to activate a fire blast card to melt a frozen pile. There are also some things that can help you such as being able to undo a move and other unlockable benefits. You have to rescue a fairy by clearing enough cards across nine games, in addition to completing objectives like completing a game under a certain amount of time or getting a perfect game. There's not much else to say about this one, if you like solitaire, you'll probably like this game.

Left 4 Dead 2 is an online co-op FPS where you kills lots and lots of zombies. Up to four players team up and try to reach a safehouse and eventually a means of escape. Occasionally a zombie with a special power will come along, such as being able to spit acid. There's also a versus mode where one team plays as the survivors and the others play as these "Special Infected". While this game is fun to play, especially with friends, playing it too much can cause it to get old eventually. Luckily there alternate game modes called Mutations that you can play to change things up if versus mode or the regular game become stale. Like with Team Fortress 2 however, the biggest problem with this game isn't something with the game itself, but the people who play it. More than in Team Fortress 2, you'll encounter players who will vote to kick you off the server for no reason, and since there are less people playing together at any given time than in that game, it's much easier for a vote kick to pass. Left 4 Dead 2 can still be a fun game to play, but unless you play with friends, be prepared for an instantaneous vote kick for no reason that WILL pass without fail to happen at any time, especially if you play in versus mode. In current day L4D2 this is less frequent of a problem since they fixed an exploit that allowed vote kicks to pass even if no-one else voted in them, but I would still recommend playing only with friends if you wish to avoid this problem entirely. 2020 also saw the release of new content for this game, so if you're an old veteran looking for something new to play in this game, there's a whole bunch of new stuff for you to try out now.

Hotline Miami 2 continues where Hotline Miami left off. Though the story is told out of sequence, it's otherwise easier to understand that the plot of the first game. The gameplay is largely the same as the first game, but this time you play as multiple characters, each with their own way of playing. This game is also harder than the first game, more enemies to kill and the levels are bigger. There's also a hard mode that's unlocked after beating the game. What else can I say? The soundtrack is once again awesome and if you liked the first game you'll like this one. Though you may get frustrated at times since bigger levels means being more likely to die to off-screen enemies.

Hotline Miami is a simple game. It's a top-down perspective action game where you kill people. There is a story here, but it's hard to understand without reading up on it. You die in one hit, but so does everyone else, so the game can be intense to play. How you play is all up to you, but the game encourages recklessness, which is likely to get you killed since you die in one hit. The AI is inconsistent, sometimes they ignore gunshots and sometimes they behave in a way that is unexpected. You have infinite lives however so you can try as many times as you want. Overall a challenging but great game with great music.

Hitman: Blood Money is the fourth game in the series. It's a stealth-action game, but really how you complete each assassination is all up to you. You can be stealthy if you want, but you can also try to mindlessly gun down everyone too if you want. This game adds some new features to the series such as being able to hide bodies in containers, and I still think this is one of the best games in the series. I'd say it's a good starting point for people who haven't played Hitman before. Don't worry too much about the story by the way if this is your first Hitman game. Recommended for both fans of the series, and people who like stealth-action games in general. Obviously Hitman Season 1 & 2 are more modern, have more features, bigger maps and more ways to kill targets. However, if you can't afford or don't have the specs to run the newer Hitman games, this is the best game in the series you can pick up despite it's age.
