Helldivers 2 is a superbly crafted game with engaging multiplayer action that initially faced some controversy due to a policy decision by the publisher Sony. Sony had mandated that all players, even those on Steam, link their accounts with a Playstation Network (PSN) account, sparking significant backlash amongst the game's community. This requirement was seen as an unnecessary barrier, complicating access for players, particularly those in regions where PSN is unsupported.

The Helldivers 2 community responded vocally, leading to demands for refunds and negative reviews on the Steam store page. Sony defended the decision as a security measure, but the community's dissatisfaction highlighted a need for greater flexibility and sensitivity to players' concerns.

After an initial 72 hours of backlash, Sony has now gone backwards on their decision - and allowed the developer, Arrowhead, to continue offering PSN as an optional account linking process. No longer mandating the requirement for an active PSN account link.

Helldivers 2 is an incredible game, with an even more incredible community - and the fact that the community usurped a greedy corporate company like Sony, makes me want to play it even more.

**Feel free to copy/paste this review, as I think it's important for newcomers to understand that the recent bout of negative reviews was largely due to Sony's self-destructive and out of touch actions, not the developers, Arrowhead.**

Half Life: Alyx will no doubt set the (high) standard for future VR games.

Having played the game now for just over 6 hours, the campaign is thoroughly enjoyable, highly detailed, and extremely fun to play. The game returns to it's roots with more gore and horror related content, which is a big welcome. The graphics are second to none, and screenshots do it no justice - being able to see the Citadel being constructed is weirdly breathtaking.

One part of the game which I did not expect to be so impressed by, was the sound. The sound of weapons reloading, ambience of the scene, and overall sound effects are simply awesome. They add a whole different level of realism that I think will surprise a lot of people. When I encountered a Strider, I actually shouted "Wow that's big, wow that's loud." it's really staggering. When you meet silence in the game, you really feel it, and hear it. The whole ambience & sound does this game a lot of justice, to say the least.

From a world-building point of view, this is super enjoyable. If you like Half Life, you'll love Alyx. Even if for no other reason than the story telling and use of the world's characters / enemies / aliens and environment. Every part of the Half Life lore is used in Alyx, which I really enjoyed. (and remember, I'm only 6 hours in!)

I use the Valve Index to play Alyx - and whilst it is an expensive bit of kit (there's no denying that). I feel as though every single penny has been justified. Ten times over. The kit has clearly been designed alongside the game, the buttons are all in the right places, the joysticks work perfectly, and the buttons are very well used. I don't think I could imagine playing this game with any other hardware. (whilst that's not what a lot of people want to hear, and I appreciate that.. I think it's just important to highlight how much effort clearly went into making the Index the prime choice).

The mixture of First Person Shooter, Survival (hunting for Resin, crafting & upgrading your weapons) and general suspense of this game mix into a beautiful Half Life game, with everything you'd expect.

From 6 hours of game-play I know that I will be replaying this game for years to come, with many.. many hours of enjoyment.

My tid-bits of the game (which you'll understand when you play):
- *looks across the room and screams* "RESIN! RESSSIN!"
- "The Flashlight will turn on when your surroundings get dark!" no Russell... no it does not.

Final verdict - 100 Resin / 100 Resin.

I don't recommend this game, it's highly over-priced for what it is.

The game is not polished near the slightest, there are extreme bugs which really alter the game-play (in a bad way).
Everything feels incredbily rushed & no time was spent paying attention to the details.

On top of all this, ultimately a bad game, they're now suing Fortnite (Epic Games) because they've clearly been beaten.

My recommendation? Go and play Fortnite, for free, an Early Access game that feels more finished than PUBG ever will be.

Battleborn quickly became one of my favourite games, it's a shame to see the fate that was bestowed upon the game - as it's great fun with friends and there was a lot of enjoyment to gain from the campaign missions.

I really enjoyed learning & playing inside the Battleborn universe, from the lore to the story missions. I hope that one day I'll be able to return to the Battleborn universe in some shape or form - one can only hope.

It's a true shame to know that we won't be able to play this game anymore after the 31st of January 2021 - to be able to enjoy all of the developers, writers, voice actors hard work & continued efforts. It would have been icing on the cake had Gearbox/2K made this game available to play offline, after the server shut down.

Overall, Battleborn was a fantastic game - flawed but beautiful, it'll be sorely missed.

After 1,392 hours (a questionable hundred of hours of Lobbyborn) I can confidently say that I wouldn't ask for a single hour back.

"May our battle never end."

Planetary Annhilation; Titans, is so much fun, I really enjoy the more opportunities to win games, and overall I think it's a thumbs-up.

It's an expensive game, but I think it's worth it. Especially if you're playing with friends!

Early Access Review
Please remember this game is in EARLY ACCESS!
And remembering that, this game is awesome.

I've only played it for a tiny bit, but I can already tell there's so much potential, all for the future.
The graphics are awesome and the gameplay is almost there, but not only is this game nostalgic with it's models and characters- it's just a lovely addition to the Warhammer series, keep up the good work guys ^^ Don't abandon this.

Early Access Review
I had extreme high-expectations of this game! And Oh no, I was not disproved. My expectations where met with flowing graphics ands gameplay and smart AI manoeuvring around the land, b.e.a.u.t.i.f.u.l.

But then I started to re-think this, the game caused me to start again, after my first world which I crawled across the ground to achieve, reached their bug and had to restart, (Their bug being an entrapment stopping people from playing the game too much so they can still "enjoy" it, notice the ""...)

So that's my first attempt over and done with, not much I can do? Sure, let's move on.
Second attempt at the game:

Did good, got past where I was from my first attempt after an entire day of slavery, to then discover 'The Pit Of Doom' now ofcourse the game is "balanced" once again, notice the ""- After sacrificing about 10 people, later into the game I was hooped into a Catch 22, which I could not leave, and ultimately lost. Need gems to get hapiness? use your people, that you can't control, because you don't have belief, because they've left your houses, because you don't have enough gems...See the problem?

THIRD ATTEMPT:
Okay, third attempt, here we go; what can go wrong this time right?
So I've got past where I was in the prior attempts, yes, it was enjoyable in the mere 10 minutes I had not played after slavering 10 hours to get back to my point where I died before...

"There's things in the mountains you should try and discover!"
-Okay, let's give that a go. ...And no. There IS NO CAMERA FUNCTION!
I've tried 60+ minutes trying to slice an edge of a mountain, an edge. A freaking edge. and there is a massive mountain to remove, it's not possible, not, possible. They've released the Patch to add 'The pit Of Doom' but cannot add a camera function? Please, call that a patch? I call it making the game harder to play.

So, the game isn't completeable hardly, it takes many hours to even attempt, it doesn't have it's replayability as it says.
Oh and, well- did I mention you'll get far and then be forced to re-try?

--------------------------
The bottom line is, get far in the game, well done; you'll still have to retry when they patch it again, or? Complain like me and get stuck? Bottom line is you'll still have to retry it all when they patch it again.
See the pattern here?
--------------------------
P.S
I'm listening to all this "commentary" and well, they're always saying "You've always got things to do! never a need to just leave the game"-
Well then, what happens when I'm building my abodes, going on a adventure thing, and they die, and now I'm waiting 1 hour for people to arrive at the boat, during that 1hour, what, the freaking hell, do, I, DO.

------------------------------------------
P.P.S
-If I knew all of this,I wouldn't of purchased the game!!

The gameplay and physics, is GOOD. but... It's flawed, it creates bugs on your computer, that stop you from playing anything! I had to reinstall my computer twice, and Steam doesn't offer you barely any help...Bad game, 0/5.

I bought this game for its asthetic look, I was not disapointed. I spent most of the game walking around the city of Columbia- Searching every house and open door. I'd recommend this game just for that! Not to mention the gameplay though, It's fantastical and the storyline is so fine tuned and perfect
I cannot think of a reason you shouldn't be playing this game right now! The only thing that can improve it, Is D.L.C.

And Burial At Sea Episode One? - I wish there was INFINITE episodes! It was totally spectacular, Graphically and Gameplay wise. It's cleverly devised and connected to the first Bioshocks, which I haven't even played! But now I feel like I have!

I cannot recomend this game more then I already have, It's a TOTAL must BUY.
Worth every penny you pay.
