Take-Two and 2K games have updated all their games Terms of Service, turning this game as well as all of their other games into literal spyware.

Important Info in Terms of Service:
• Mods are a bannable offense

Fun with friends! Honestly wish it was either more difficult or scary.

The game is very fun, I love the guncrafting aspect, so much depth. But good god I hate the enemies that can cause confusion (movement controls reversed and movement slowed) just genuinely not a fun thing to have in survivor-like games.

I honked a clown horn to make fun of my friend and killed all 3 of my friends. I am the creator of my own loneliness. Would 100% do it again. 10/10

So far of my .6 hours, 11 minutes were in a heist, the rest were trying to matchmake for a private game with 2 other friends. We quite literally could not play because it refuses to find a game, also just looking through the menus I can see there is a serious lack of weapons, masks, mask designs and the skill menu is difficult to navigate, feels more like the perk decks from Payday 2.
Gameplay itself seems fun, cool features like being able to stealth entire missions without masking up.
But a lot needs to be done UI wise, quality of life and more. Like why when I pick up money or throw bags does it not tell me how much I am making? That was such a big part of Payday 2, being able to feel the progress mid heist, seeing numbers go up, that should be the whole point of a heisting game.

EDIT: Progression being locked to challenges is the worst idea I have seen
EDIT 2: Servers don't work, you have to matchmake even when playing private lobbies of 2/3/4 players, no offline mode so you can't play single player if you wanted to.

EDIT 3: It is now 5/29/24, 8 months later. This was the worst $40 I have ever spent. I would rather spend $40 on 4 chicken nuggets from Wendy's. Updates simply do not add enough change. The effort doesn't really feel like it matters anymore, too much needs to change to keep holding out hope for this game.

15 minutes into my first match I am sitting at a broken wall healing my sniper, he dies once, I revive, he dies a second time, a third, a fourth. Each time yelling "MEDIC!!" "Don't worry man I'm just trying to hit the shot, I know where he is," *dies again*
Then a second teammate joins him in sniping, he also dies. I am now perma reviving and healing two teammates. All of a sudden I hear my snipers scream as 4 enemies rush through the hole in the wall and gun us all down while I'm sitting with a medkit in my hands. Best. Game. Ever.

At the current play time of 4.2 hours I would recommend this game. I probably spent about 20 minutes creating my first two characters only to find out you can create two more for your party. I'll be honest... I loaded old saves when I realized I needed skills allocated elsewhere, especially with such a huge party you can really specialize your team and make everyone really unique. I also am a huge explorer so I spend a ton of time just finding random loot boxes and piles around the map which fills my tiny brain with so much happiness. I'm playing on the second hardest difficulty and my characters get downed quite a bit, especially during surprise encounters where my fragile sniper with 40 health was the one walking up front, I have learned my lesson.
