I no longer really play it, like all paradox games they change core mechanics so often that the game you end up with is nothing like the game you liked at launch. And while you can stay on old branches you have to be careful with mods to ensure they dont get updated to later versions etc and your also unlikely to get new mods. It also makes the steam workshop a jumbled mess trying to find mods that work with your specific game version.

The price is way to hide when a species pack is little more than a few image files, and the game is basically just a big database with a fancy UI and half the features are just a changed mechanic.

Having unlocks before I can play all the content in a game i bought means i will never play this. If I bought a car, but the radio didn't work until i had driven 5000 miles, i would not be happy.

The game might be good, it probably is based on the reviews, the unlocks may or may not be useful, i will never know.

Enough is enough, instead of releasing irrelevant updates and trying to charge people high prices for it, actually make something new. Steam review edit

An so the Paradox DLC invasion featuring overpriced DLC, changing the core game you bought and having persistent bugs rolls on...

Great fun, personally i prefer this to the new Planetfall, especially now that will likely be clogged up with paradox style DLC.
(Review mainly for steam event and updated again for steam event).

Better than Skyrim out of the box.

This game with the mod options of a game like skyrim and i would never need to buy another game.

its looking good, still work to be done but its not at a state its playable.

if you liked gal civ 2 you should like this - and this one has a lot more of the "one more turn" feel that started with CIV series.

ship editor is so cool. not to mention lots of extra little features, like you can go into a starbase and "order" construction ships, rather than having to micromanage dozens of constructors.

also you can type /ai in the console which lets the AI play your race, so the game plays itself - cool to wach - well i think so anyway.
