If you like a very accessible RPG that doesn't take a Phd to understand and master the nuances of its varied builds and game mechanics, then this is the game for you. I really enjoyed my time in DA: Veilguard. From the beginning of my play-through, I was able to see how special this game was. It allows all levels of players to feel empowered by the choices you make along your journey. Could the writing have been better in the early game, yes. But if you are patient you will be rewarded with a game that blossoms and opens up as you approach the mid to late game.
Please remember that games are stories we can participate in. And as such, some characters and story arcs may not be to your interest and or liking. But if you are willing to embrace the story and character arcs as a whole work, you will be rewarded with a great adventure. Now, the game is not perfect. There are somethings which should have been added, (yes, I'm talking about the lack of crafting and gear interchangeability between your party members) as well as certain issues with power creep. Builds can be end game ready by the middle of the first act. Which in my opinion makes combat a bit boring when you can curb stomp your way through most, if not all battles regardless of game difficulty. There is a plethora of gear for your Rook, Which will allow you to experiment and try different builds. You are allowed to court which ever party member you wish. Bioware made a great decision in allowing your choices to play out and shape the story.
There is a whole lot packed into this game. Even if you ignore all side missions and quests, and just make a play for the main story, you will have enough content to keep you busy. The story pacing is well done and allows plenty of time for you to pursue however you choose to play. I was able to obtain 100% of all achievements with a little under 100 hours. Overall, this is a great, approachable RPG for fans of the genre that enjoy a good story filled with lore and adventure.

(Needs to stew a bit more... too much needs to be patched. Can be fun but the need for always online creates too many network issues. PC version is in need of much work.)
Revised:
After PCF worked on a patch for the server issues the game can now be played with little issues. The overall game play loop is fun and creating builds is enjoyable. But once you reach end game you must have multiple builds. A few for solo as well as co-op play. PCF will need to tweak skills and mod synergies to avoid creating a meta that will grow stale and require certain mod/skill builds in order to be viable in end game play in co-op/solo. Overall on a scale of 1-10 in its current state I would rate it 7.5. The future looks bright on Enoch.
