Amazing game, loving it.

Loving it, I just hate gankers but that's understandable for a free-for-all.

The game is fun like hell... But I have a major issue.
And it is that... The game punishes you... For wanting to combat.
The main issue I have on this game is that parkour takes less amounts of stamina than melee fights.
Which makes no sense and to an extent makes fight tedious instead of rewarding.
And ends up becoming a war of who throws the most ♥♥♥♥ to the other till you die.
Either the goons throw toxic acid, the renegades throw rocks or knives, or you throw knives and other gizmos till you end up broke.
It is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dumb.
That's my only problem.
Regular enemies shouldn't have a way to reach you from afar if that's why special enemies like the spitter or the renegades with bows exist.
Kind of defeat their point if a regular goon or a regular renegade can pretty much make the same damage of a bow man with a freaking pebble.
Is just absurd let alone you get tired like hell for doing no more than 5 swings.
The game punishes you for something that Dead Island rewards you for... Which is the combat aspect.

This game sucks, the combat feels like a chore, isn't intuitive... And basically makes you force a whole cinematic of combat instead of giving you freedom at the moment of playing.
Is like... Watching a pseudo hack and slash get mixed with Resident Evil Remake.
It just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks.
Let alone the enemies feel like sponges and weapons don't do their job of being FIRE ARMS.
They feel like I am shooting BB guns to enemies who tank my shots and hit me regardless.
It feels boring, it feels like a task... And I didn't even finish the prologue...
The game itself isn't hard... It just feels freaking tedious like homework.
3/10 gameplay mechanics are wonky, I don't care if the lore or the characters, the ambience or the fatalities are damn awesome... They aren't gratifying enough for me to keep playing this turd of a game.

I will say... This game has its pros and cons... Is not a perfect game... But it is neither THAT bad.

Pros:
Super fun killing zombies.
Gameplay mechanics that offer a variety of game style.
Farming and looting is truly easy and doesn't feels cubersome.
Over all the variety of zombies you can kill and eviscerate is spectacular.

Cons:
The hitbox with weapons feels short, it doesn't feels like I am hitting zombies with something that should have the lenght, but instead it feels like I am hitting zombies with my arm... And zombies DO hit you from far away.
Lore and over all history feels boring.
Characters feel dull and over all unappealling, Amanda over all feels like a poorly attempt of the devs trying to connect with an audience through memes which already died from 2008 to 2015, It just makes me think that the devs were stuck on THAT time and era at the moment of trying to connect with their audience, it over all feels cringe and makes me wish to have nothing to do with any single character on the game.
I think the game focused too much on the dark humor aspect that they forgot that the incident of Banoi was meant to be something serious.
Is it just me or women in this game feels op compared to the men? Like... Besides the protagonist which could be either any of the 3 unnapealling characters besides Ryan... All male characters through the entire game feel weak compared to the female ones.
It kinda feels like the devs were trying to push some agenda rather than focus into showing an ACTUAL interesting story.
I mean... Compare it from Dead Island 1 to Dead Island 2... The non immune characters in 1 which attempted to do their best to survive and put up with the zombies were mostly males, and while slacking or lacking, they showed their prowess.
In Dead Island 2 it feels like the male characters are rather weak or pathetic (Besides Ryan and Sam-B), I will leave it as mere coincidence... But it is something worth of mention.

Over all... A nice game... Not a jewel... But certain it weights its worth in silver or bronze I guess.

Lotsa fun, although I don't get a single scrap about the lore.

Too ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard, the part of the challenge with the tons of saw blade it is just plain impossible.
It is not even an optional place to go, what's the point of making so damn hard that part? It is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ over done for what it should be... Let alone there is no way around it.
Good game... But that part in particular kills it for me.

It is a good dungeon crawler, very challenging and rewarding.

AND LEAVE EGRETS AND BIG BAND'S LORE AS IT WAS FFS...
