Great schmup that even if you're ass like me at, BR can still be a good time. Plus the devs still gave the game a lot of love and attention even 8 years later with the Double Action update. Soundtrack is good, art is cute, it's fun to throw yourself into danger and die trying to continue 64x point multiplier chains, good time.

A slight thumbs up is more accurate just because the game isn't close to finished and is still very early in development. Despite that what's here is still pretty fun and honestly if it wasn't for the jank and especially bad enemy pop-in I'd probably be playing this a concerning amount. Keep an eye on it at least, Fun Dog is cooking something with wild potential

Severed Steel was just cool and this game is just really cool. The story is nothing and the game knows it but you can rocket jump with an RPG and start slowing down time while grapplehooking clouds to fling yourself higher in the air to fire an anti material rifle on your hoverboard at mach speed that does bonus damage since you did a rocket jump. Like, ♥♥♥♥.

It's more Elden Ring with some problems fixed, and some pros and cons magnified. Map is much more dense and the new weapon types are some of the most fun I've had faffing around with but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ From really needs to zoom out their cameras more

Just don't be good enough to recognize or get queued with the cheaters and it's a pretty good time being with others missing 20 shots with a comically long cycle speed.

If you know Girls' Frontline at all then you'll know that Mica's writing, despite being often comically edgy and over the top, is still somehow genuinely fantastic stuff. The characters are all compelling so far and the post WWIII universe that Mica has is incredibly detailed and captivating and there are plenty of nods to Mica's titles between Reverse Collapse and the original Codename Bakery to chew on as well. Combat in RC too is one of the few tactics games I've played that does stealth often and well. Main thing I'd suggest keeping in mind is that a lot of the maps are approached more like puzzles.

Big recommend overall from what I've played. It's made me reinstall GFL after 3~4 years of not playing it.
