For 4 hours we heard nothing but EBM & Industrial. Now it's Sunday evening time in Berlin and I'm on Juno Records catching up on new techno releases. Many of the techno reviews I'm reading have EBM listed as a description. Odd they describe this music as such even though none of it sounds even remotely close to what we listened to last night. The same goes for the digital promos I get from techno artists labeling their music as such. EBM and it's cousin Industrial are a music subculture for decades now. Very separate from the techno scene. The cultural appropriation of this sound in techno at the moment is outright getting on my nerves. EBM/Industrial is not a fad, the latest buzzword. Its a music culture going on for many decades now. Stop ♥♥♥♥♥♥ the funk, stop being a culture vulture and go out and immerse yourself into what EBM is before using it as the latest buzzword to describe your retro sounding techno music.

I'm usually not one to rant on social media but I must admit I've become very tired of the overuse of the word EBM(Electronic Body Music)in techno. It's seems to be the new buzzword in techno and since I'm the one pushing EBM in techno longer then everyone else with the exception of my friends Terence Fixmer, and TP Heckmann then I feel more then just fine to speak on my thoughts about it. So first let me say this, 99% of the music entitled such in techno has nothing to do with EBM! I had the night off last night and I went to a real EBM party in Berlin entitled “Terror Dance” with my friend Sarin from Aufnahme +Weidergabe. The Dj there has been playing this music for decades. For 4 hours we heard nothing but EBM & Industrial. Now it's Sunday evening time in Berlin and I'm on Juno Records catching up on new techno releases.

Where the growth in numbers causes more and more beings to starve and go without certain things that would make their life better. Clothes, medicine, shelter, technology… whatever could someone might need to live a good life. The more life grows, the greater the strain becomes. Meaning the more beings go without. Until either all of the resources are used up, or their is a struggle for resources that leads to the death of life on that planet.
