The game itself is fun to play especially in a group of friends of four. BUT there are some issues that made me furious and I have to be honest here. I can't just pretend that my experience was all great.

- Whenever I choose sanity mode, the ghost attacks me way more frequently, even several times in a row within less than 10 seconds. Shouldn't there be a cooldown at least for like 15 seconds? How else am I supposed to get some pills to recover? Why does it attack me so quickly in the first place draining my sanity level in merely a few seconds? There goes your extra money you expected to get for adding said mode.

- When I activate Ectoplasm mode, the ghost takes the fastest way towards me attacking me several times in a row just like in Sanity mode reseting the collection progress and making it impossible to do the job. You could argue that my friend shouldn't stand next to me with something protective. We tried that aswell, it keeps attacking frequently.

- On the other hand, when I play the plain simple mode without any extras, I often find myself chasing the ghost, hoping to get attacked, so I can use my items. Is this some kind of joke? Using irritating items mostly don't help either.

- When you die, you apparently have to catch 5 flying lights/stars/whatever. I spam the cr*p out of the E key when it's flying right in the middle of my screen and it doesn't register. What kind of sorcery is this?

- I just had the objective to use a Christ Statue on the ghost. Even the description in the encyclopedia says that I just have to hold it in my hand when a ghost attacks. I tried selecting it before the attack, during the attack, just holding it, spamming left mouse button on it, throwing it under the ghost, everything. It didn't register at all, instead it drained my sanity level so damn often that I wasted 4 doses of pills (200$ each) and still died twice, eventually losing the game. WHAT THE ACTUAL F???

- Sometimes the game doesn't register that I threw the magic book right under the ghost. Same with throwable items that I throw in it's face like Salts/Holy Water/Ashes etc. Frustrating.

There's still a lot to fix as shown above + the game is not beginner friendly. The whole paragraph that is written under the column "How to play" is confusing so you have to watch a tutorial to figure it all out.

This game is just great and so much better than the first of the series. The devs keep on adding new stuff which keeps it interesting. Remember that it's still in Early Access. I'll take a break from this game till the end of Early Access, but I'll be excited till then.

Here are the things that made me furious so far:

1. THIS D?GSH=T OF A GAME EXPECTS ME TO PLAY FUT RIVALS (AT THE VERY BEGINNING AS A NEWBIE) AGAINST A LIFELESS LOSER WITH AN AVERAGE 11 OF 91-92 RATING FULL OF LEGEND CARDS ETC. WHEREAS MY TEAM HAS AN AVERAGE RATING OF 83-84 AND MY BEST PLAYER IS RATED 88. HOW DUMB CAN U BE AS A DEVELOPER TO EXPECT SUCH A BS MATCHUP TO BE FAIR? LIFELESS LOSERS COMMUNITY IN FIFA CONFIRMED. 0% FUN GAMEPLAY, 99% TRYHARD SWEATY UNEMPLOYED COMMUNITY.

2. One of the worst communities in gaming history. Never met people with such stupidity. Their IQ is below room temperature. In Celsius.
3. Horrible game mechanics considering they develop this game for over 20 years.
3. After a Pro Clubs match you get stuck in a camera that gives you a tour through the stadium by showing different camera angles. You don't get a post game summary screen or anything and you can't quit. You're forced to Alt+F4. Happens after almost every Pro Clubs match.
4. In Volta mode you find a lobby and the game starts searching for a match. Congratulations, you're stuck in "Searching Match" mode and are forced to Alt+F4.
5. During that Volta match, when your team falls back 3-2 after 1 min. 3 of your teammates (teams consist of 4 players) rage quit and you have to play alone for the rest of the match. (see above, worst community ever)
6. After a goal in Volta mode you see the celebration, then the replay and after that the game unintentionally goes back to celebration cam where it gets stuck for an annoying long time.
7. After a Volta match you get stuck in a loading screen, you're forced to Alt+F4 AGAIN. Your win/match/XP/weekly challenge didn't count. You wasted your time (FIFA 23 in a nutshell = waste of time).
8. In any mode, sometimes you direct your analogue stick to the left like in a 90° angle so there's no way you made a mistake and it passes the ball to an unrelated player above.
9. In any coop mode, when you don't play with your IRL friends (cuz they're currently offline or sth.) you're lost. Because 99% of the time, your random teammate(s) is/are going to be selfish while expecting you to be a teamplayer. In his/their tiny mind, you're supposed to immediately pass the ball to him/them whenever you touch the ball so he/they can dribble the whole enemy team in a singular run over the whole field from your defensive to the enemy goal. Fails 100% of the time.
10. When you start winning a match 2-0 in FUT, your opponent leaves the match. No proper punishment for that, just a ridiculous reduced coin multiplicator nobody cares about.
11. When you're stuck again at a post game loading screen in FUT without getting the match summary screen and you're forced to Alt+F4, it says you quit the match, although it ENDED with a 4-1 win for you.
12. Sometimes, when you're searching for a match as a squad in Volta, it randomly throws every single player in said lobby back to the main menu, exiting Volta mode.
13. Servers are trash + whenever a match ends and you get a loading screen you have to BlessRNG to not get stuck AGAIN.
14. In a Volta match, most players pick the powerful shot skill which lets him score a goal from basically anywhere on the field. They do the kick off and take a shot from their defense line and it goes in. RI-DI-♥♥-LOUS. And stupid.
15. When you touch a wall, your character hugs the wall and you can't move for the next 2-3 seconds guaranteeing the ball loss anytime.

The first third of the game is not that gripping tbh but the further you get, the more it gets your attention. Absolutely loved the story and we enjoyed the gameplay greatly. Towards the last few chapter always get the feeling it's about to end soon, but the game keeps delivering while still keeping you interested in the storyline.
To keep it short: I absolutely loved it and would definitely recommend. Good thing your friends don't need to buy it nor do they need to install it. Just use Steam's Remote Play Together feature.
P.S: Controller recommended imo.

Worth a try imo.

Strategy, combat action, hack'n'slash, medieval roleplay... this game has it all and serves so many opportunities if you know how to adapt your gameplay. Don't merely consider this as a world conquest. There are far more options to chose your path. Absolute banger of a game. Strongly recommended.

The frequent updates and the mods keep this game interesting.
