This game is a testament to indie development. Best 2 1/2 year wait of my life.

Probably the best WW1 game of its genre. Very fun, decisions matter and the art style is beautiful.

If you're a fan, player or coach of the sport and love the game, this is a must have game to add to the collection.

This game makes my butthole hurt, but i love it.
Also this game is garbage.

Edit: Patch 2.0 has addressed a lot of the issues that plagued this game upon release that the community voiced displeasure about. There has been multiple minor updates along with 1 major update since launch improving the game, mainly including campaign settings, mod support, game play/visuals, life of quality and bug fixes. There is still some things needed to be fixed but the big issues have been addressed and the devs continue to put out consistent and quality updates, Therefore changing my review to a thumbs up. Thank you for listening to the community devs! Now just add multiplayer campaign ;)

This game has the potential to be the best WW1 RTS ever made. With that being said, it has a few major things that need to be fixed or implemented to let the game reach its full potential and change my review to recommended. The overall game is damn fun and honestly really in depth with a lot to consider, which is why the changes that most of the community is asking for would push this game to its full praise it deserves. I love the campaign map portion just as much as the RTS battles sections of the game, they did it right and everything is there for it to be the best in its genre. But unfortunately some design choices make it extremely limited in some aspects in regard to what you can do as far as replayability and immersion. (Please devs if you're reading this, i really want to get lost in this game, but can't do so until these changes are made)
All in all the core foundation and gameplay itself is there and fantastic, but hindered by limitations.

Wishlist:
- Disable battle timers (Or at least make them optional)
- Disable campaign time/turn limit (Let us got another 20 years if we want)
- Disable despawning bodies (Patch 2.0)
(Corpses strewn through the battlefields of WW1 should have been considered part of the persistent battlefields feature)
- Add campaign statistics/overview (Total deaths, Battlefield/Battles history, Money spent, Tanks/Planes lost etc)
- Add hand to hand combat animations (Patch 2.0)
- Add mod support (Patch 2.0)
- Iron out the minor bugs (Patch 2.0)
- Camera zoom should be allowed to go further out
- Debuff Light artillery suppression effect (Patch 1.2)
- Concrete bunkers should be immune to suppression effects (Patch 1.2)

Nothing but bops & bangers on car radio. 10/10

Starship Troopers & 3rd Person Mod.

Lots of updates till its complete but overall this games modding community is awesome and will make great content, and its all free.

Fun game. But DLC policy is Trash.
